I just got a new XBOX and need to recover my old online account. I went online and started it up, and it asks you to put in your informaton, it says to be exact. I put in my gametag, real name, number, credit card and zip, and it kept saying it wasnt exact. I even tried my information in numerous ways. I'm wondering if any of you guys have ever had this problem? What did you do? I e-mailed XBOX but they dont respond. Is there a certain way the info has to be entered? No area code in the phone number? No capital letters? This is starting to piss me off! Thanks for any help...

Yeah, thats where I went (sorry if I wasnt clear), but my problem is, in the Account Recovery option, you have to enter your info, and for some reason it was telling me my info wasnt exact. I was just wondering if there is anything special you have to do, like no area code on the phone number or no capital letters or something? For 3 days I've been trying to get my account recovered.

call the xbl info line they should be able to take you through it step by step in recovering your old account.

The only thing I can think of is that if you are putting in the wrong credit card number you used when you originally signed up with Xbox Live.Comment

Do you still have your old xbox? If so you can save your xbl account on a memory card and transfer it over that way. Thats what I did when I got a new xbox.Comment
