I imagine they're holding this and Starfield for the next generation of consoles.


Hopefully they go to a new location and don't redo Skyrim.

Probably a long way off though since they said Starfield's coming first (which we know nothing about other than a title and space).

Yeah, as far as I'm concerned, there's not a chance in hell this releases before 2020 at the earliest, more likely 2021. And like you said, it'll probably be held back and released as a launch title for the PS5/Xbox What The Hell Are They Gonna Name It This Time?

Oh god yes. I wouldn't think twice about slapping down $400 or $500 for a new day one release console if The Elder Scrolls VI was also releasing on the same day.

I never buy day one console releases, but I agree about doing it for ES6. IMO, ES6 isn't going to release until after the new consoles drop though.

I think it's safe to say we won't see this until the PS5/Xbox Random Name.

From an interview Todd Howard did today at E3, Elder Scrolls VI is in a pre-production state and is not currently in a playable capacity. The technology for the game still "doesn't exist yet but is getting closer". So based on that quote and the fact that it is only in pre-production and not in any playable capacity, I'm revising my release estimate to 2021 at the very earliest, likely 2022 or later.

I think it's safe to say we won't see this until the PS5/Xbox Random Name.

From an interview Todd Howard did today at E3, Elder Scrolls VI is in a pre-production state and is not currently in a playable capacity. The technology for the game still "doesn't exist yet but is getting closer". I'm agreeing here...2021 would be my guess...the Starfield (or whatever space game) is coming out first and that's probably 2020 at the earliest.

IMO, zero chance of this. One, it won't be finished, and two, they want to get as much Fallout 76 cash as they can for 2-3 years without their signature SP game siphoning off players away from it. Also I think they want Starfield to have the SP space to itself for a little while as well.

IMO, zero chance of this. One, it won't be finished, and two, they want to get as much Fallout 76 cash as they can for 2-3 years without their signature SP game siphoning off players away from it. Also I think they want Starfield to have the SP space to itself for a little while as well.

Yeah, my understanding from his wording at the conference and in interviews, Fallout 76 is their main focus right now, then they will be focusing on making Starfield their next release within the next couple years. And then after Starfield has released, it'll be TES VI's turn. So we gotta wait for Starfield to actually release first before we can start getting our hopes up of a TES VI release. And even then it'd probably still be a year or two wait.

I just don't see them announcing the game just to release it 4-5 years later. That would be awful marketing
