    SW: KOTOR I Question

Quick question for those who played through the first KOTOR. I just got the game and I am loving it, making it through on the Light Side my first time through. Refusing all rewards, saving everybody who asks, giving out money, ect ect, all good guy stuff. My question is, how much different is the game if you play through it on the Dark Side? I can see how a lot of the side quests will be played out differently(mainly the reward part of them), but does the main story play out any differently if you are evil throughout the whole game?

I'm not sure how far into the game I am, but I can't imagine it ending the same way if you are good or evil, but I also am not sure if the developer of this game would have made two separate end-stories for Light and Dark.

So please, without giving away spoilers, can someone give me a simple answer as to whether the game changes drastically when comparing the Light and Dark side?

I am asking because I want to try to hold off on KOTOR II until it gets a price drop, I think playing through the original twice will help me resist buying the new one for a while, but if it's the same exact story and everything playing through the 2nd time I will get tired of it pretty quickly.

well, the basic game doesn't change that much Light vs. Dark, you're doing the same missions and stuff, but plot wise the two sides are totally different. Don't want to say more because it'd give stuff away. You can also use more dark force powers and whatnot, so there's some character stuff that's different as well. I got halfway through the game a 2nd time but had other games pull me away. Hope that helps, it's fun a 2nd time through, but it's not like it's a total completely new game mission wise.

I will agree with this reply, the game does not change drastically but it does open up a few different interactions among some characters in the game. That's really the main diffence it's nothing major but it does add a decent replay value, I'd recommend a second run through even if only to uncover things you didn't the first time around.

Thanks for the replies, I will probably go into the game a second time based on what you have said. I'm not quite sure how far into the game I actually am the first time, but at the rate I'm currently addicted to it, it won't take too long to finish. Maybe, if nothing else, I will get tired of the game the second time through so I can hold off on KOTOR II for a while.
