Well I will have to disagree on that one because its not just about better weapons, better armor, etc. If there are challenges left to complete then you have a reason for doing "the grind". If there was nothing left to do then I'd agree.

I have about 50 hours or such into my current character and still have 3 challenges in Season 16 to complete, it's probably going to take a good while before I'm able to do them.

To me it's a tangible goal that, with some playing time, can be realized, it's very rewarding in that respect.

I do agree with you on The Division though, I played that game a long time. Same thing, goals to accomplish means the grind is fun.

I don't know why you don't see Diablo the same way, unless perhaps you never played Seasons. If so, that's probably why.

Not sure I fully understand the question but ...

I'm playing Divinity: Original Sin and there's loot everywhere. You can take paintings off the wall, knives and plates off the table, and empty bottles off the ground along with the usual stuff like gold, weapons and armor.

I know ODOGG loved D3 but if you dont try that then I suggest Path of Exile. It's free on Xbox and PC (PS4 release soon) and is probably the best skill/looter/create a class game that's been released.

It is however more in depth then D3 and can be overwhelming when you first get into it but man, coming from Diablo 2 (Prob one of my most beloved game ever) to PoE was great. Especially after D3 seemed like a shell of its self.

I played that on PC for a bit and thought it was cool. It needs to come to switch. For games like that I’d opt for the portable console version.

If you own a PS4, I recommend Dead Nation and more so, Alienation from Housemarque. Both are isometric twin stick shooters but there's definitely a lot of loot in the games (more so in Alienation).
