    Upcoming Games

There's an Upcoming Movies thread, so here's a game thread.

An Ubisoft exec accidentally leaked they're making a new Splinter Cell game, which could be shown at E3.

While I would still play it, im hoping that it's NOT open world. At most, wide-linear like God of War or Rise/Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

I want something from the Chaos Theory era (I think that was the sequel, or one of them)...It had fun multiplayer, and the story was good but not just linear or too brutal or whatever. They need to go back to the roots a bit.

Yeah, if it was similar to the old ones gameplay wise, that would be just fine by me.

Unless something big is announced during E3 in regards to Sony's AAA biggies or CD Projekt's next open world, no other game is more anticipated for me than No Man's Sky's VR update. This summer will be an adventure in gaming experience that has me ready to return to its universe and I can't wait!

With more than a 500 million dollar Budget, I'm really looking forward too seeing Halo Infinite at E3.

Behind that, I'm hoping too not be disappointed by Final Fantasy 7 Remake info.

I know I'd still play it if they did, but they really don't need to change the Splinter Cell formula. Just give us a linear, mission-based game with a bunch of different locations. That's all that I want, we have more than enough open world games. Going open world worked well and made sense for Ghost Recon, but I don't see the point in doing that with Splinter Cell.

I'm very excited to hear the rumors of it returning, though. Splinter Cell is one of my favorite series of all time, and it's long overdue that we get another one.

I'll play it either way, but all the stuff when he went rogue on Conviction and all that wasn't my favorite. Just hope they can dial things into a cool game. I don't think open world would be great either, just also think the current direction wasn't the best as well.

Conviction definitely wasn't my favorite, but I thought they bounced back nicely with Blacklist. I've played that game recently and it still holds up very well. I have faith in Ubisoft when it comes to Rainbow, Ghost, and Splinter Cell. I just can't visualize them dropping a turd after how long fans have been wanting to see Sam Fisher come back.

I haven't heard anything, so this is just a genuine question, but what if it isn't Sam Fisher? What if it's a new agent?

I wouldn't mind personally....I could see some getting in a uproar. I could more imagine something where maybe Sam dies somehow and you avenge him?

I'm the same. I plan on playing it whether it's Fisher or someone else.

I just want the gameplay and mission layout to be the same. Don't be seen, don't be heard, finish the mission.

Hell, I'd be real happy if we could get the original trilogy remastered.

Sam Fisher isn't getting any younger, so it's whatever as long as it's the stealth gameplay I'm used to. I'm sure they'd weave him in somehow if it were a new character. I think we can squeeze one more game out of the old boy, though.

Out of Conviction, Blacklist, the original Splinter Cell and Pandorra Tomorrow, Conviction is my favorite by far, my 2010 goty and everything from gameplay to story and characters is simply the best out of these four games. Tried playing Chaos Theory after Conviction and that was a no go. LOL. Really hoping for Conviction 2 more than anything but we'll see.
