The Getaway (Black Monday)...Anyone getting this?

This was a well hyped game back in the day, but with the sequel due out next week things are relatively quiet.

Anyone plan on getting this game?

It got crazy hype in 2003 thinkin it would be better than GTA. But sadly, it didn't live up to it.

    1. GTA
    2. True Crime
    3. Getaway

The Getaway was an ok game, but too much of the same thing.

Drive around. Shoot people. Watch movie. Drive around. Shoot people. Watch movie.

From what I've read of Black Monday, the core of the game hasn't changed. Just the story and characters.

I guess, if you loved the original you'll love this one. If you hated the original, stay away from this one.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer
