Wireless Internet Service providers?
I am using a wireless internet services provider and lately I have been having several problems with my games lagging and disconnects happening. I played over 50 games of NCAA football this year with no disconnects, but lately every game I play football, basketball, Gost Recon 2 all have disconnects about 90% of the time....My X-box will connect directly to the internet when I turn it on, but if I go to the network settings to test my connection...It says that it can not detect my settings,,such as my IP address and so on...,but they are being detected when I turn on my xbox, but the are all zeroed out when I try to connect in the network connections section. Has anyone else had any problems with wireless interent service providers. Or does anyone have any suggestions...I can't change providers because they are the only ones that offer high speed service in my area...as of right now I get 600 down and 256 up....maybe I should upgrade speeds. Any help would be appreciated.Xbox Live: CoolDellGuy

Re: Wireless Internet Service providers?
I don't know a heck of a whole lot about this, but I'll tell you what I do know, as I was once having problems with my wireless connection.
Apparently, according to the tech support guy I talked to, there are certain kinds of cordless phones that interfere with wireless internet connections. I can't remember what the megahertz of the phone was, but my phone was one of the ones "black listed" so to speak. I got a different cordless phone, one that they said would be okay, and my problems were solved.
I don't know if this will be much help. Hopefully, it will. -
