Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
Been reading positive reviews regarding <i>(YawVR)</i>. It has a diameter of 31 inches (80 cm) and a height of 17 inches (45 cm) when folded. Its weight is just 57 lbs (26 kg), so you can easily pick it up and move it.
The Standard is priced $1490 with the Pro Edition $1990

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
So this game coming to Xbox, and assuming it will run in 4K 60fps. I'm drooling.
I have a good hotas right now, but I wanna get a yoke. Flying the Airbus with the joystick is crazy. I have no idea how these pilots can fly those jets with just a joystick.Comment

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
As an Air Force Vet I use to marvel at the F-15 Eagle parked in my hanger and wished I could fly it. No, I wasn't a pilot but DC Designs is set to release this soon MS Flight Sim Add-On in the next coming weeks for purchase.(<i>no retail price is yet known</i>) I'm sure DC Designs will replicate the cockpit as is in exact detail.
Obsidian Ant is lucky enough to get a copy. As his usual previews, he doesn't spoil anything but does give a snapshot of what to expect. I've been patiently waiting to properly invest with a huge PC VR setup later this year, but it's going to be hard to resist.

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
Disappointing to say the least and at a price tag of $37. The F-15 DC Designs for Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) maybe your best option to still play for the serious sim player. You still seem to get more out of the aircraft with Digital Combat Simulator World. The F-15 DCSW review starts at around the 4:00 mark for those who wish to look at the differences.
However, for the novice player and if you wish to read more of the MFS review, below captures the good and bad;
<b>Microsoft Flight Simulator F-15 Eagle Add-On Review (DC Designs)</b>
Since this is a review, I can’t ignore the fact that this aircraft add-on comes with its share of technical shortcomings, and that DC Designs will have to work hard to improve it over time.
Yet, when I fly through a deep canyon at 600 knots with my palms sweating on the stick and throttle, and my heart racing in my chest, you can bet that, at least for a while, I forget all the issues in favor of the fun.
<b>Pros</b>
<li>It’s extremely fun to fly.
<li>Modeled payload.
<li>Many selectable liveries and four variants.
<li>Very intuitive and accessible.
<li>It will make you feel like a Top Gun without requiring months of study and practice.</li>
<b>Cons</b>
<li>Technical limitations.
<li>Too many inoperative controls.
<li>The visuals are a bit rough.
<li>Barebones autopilot and navigation systems.</li>Comment

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
It's admirable they got the F-15 out at this point given the state of the SDK, and hopefully it'll be continuously developed with an ultimate aim of achieving a "study level" product. Unfortunately MSFS' SDK just isn't ready for third party devs to produce those really authentic planes yet. FBW mod and Working Title are as close as we have right now.
Really looking forward to the day I can experience the MSFS world with planes like PMDG and FSL produce.Comment

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
So I got the US update, haven't played in a while. And I flew over Cleveland and nothing is there. No real buildings, no First Energy Stadium, no Progressive field. WTF? All this was there the last time I played.
I even have the ground set to ultra. No idea what the deal is.Comment

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
I bought the Thrustmaster T.16000, throttle, and rudder pedals. My first foray into MS Flight sim was in the training, and I kept having these weird issues. Any ideas?
1.) When my co-pilot gives me control in the air then I can control the aircraft just fine. If I make some kind of mistake or do something quirky, like a barrel roll, then even after I right the plane it will constantly want to pull up. I'm having to push forward just to stay level.
2.) Also during this time, sometimes the camera seems to get bugged. Where my normal view is looking out straight through the cockpit, regardless of my orientation, it's like my view is locked in a certain direction. If I pull back to ascend then I'll stare at the instrument gauges, and if I descend then I'll be staring up into the ceiling.
2.) The free look also gets wacky any time I hit it. The moment that I hit it in any direction, it will continue to slowly track in that direction even after I let go and the joystick returns to center. Even if I 'reset' the position to default it will then pick a direction to start moving in. Once this loop starts then it's impossible for me to get things corrected. Fortunately this always happens after the training session finishes and I'm just flying around, so I can just hit the keys to end the mission, but it's still annoying.Comment
