Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
I VERY briefly tried it out - flew in NYC - looked really cool but I also crashed on purpose and was a tiny bit disappointed there was no crash just a black screen. The flying seemed legit though and the maps/satelite thing they do seems bad ***, can't wait to see toronto, montreal, LA and other places i'd recognize as well as world wonders. I noticed super up close some textures are meant to see from some distance as they seemed a little pixelated but that's probably part of the whole satelite thing, from distance everything looks photorealistic.
super cool it's on gamepass mang!Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
If anyone needs help getting started this video helps a lot. This guy knows what he's doing.
Also, as far as crashing, I remember them saying back before PC release that they weren't gonna do any crashing animations due to the company's not wanting to show their aircraft in a bad light.
However X-Plane 11 has good crashing animations.Comment

In my opinion...https://www.mypilotstore.com/MyPilot...EaAnkIEALw_wcB
Actually I lied. This isn't compatible with Xbox yet. But I believe it will be at some point. I think it's easily the best flight stick in it's price range.Last edited by PVarck31; 07-27-2021, 10:04 PM.Comment

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
This game is absolutely beautiful. What an achievement by the developers. I really had my doubts they could pull it off. I've played the PC version and this looks almost as good visually. It's so close. I encountered a couple stutters here and there, but overall the game is very smooth.
I am so impressed with the Thrustmaster T-Flight Stick X I picked up last week. At this time, I don't see a reason why I'd need to spend $150 for the pedals.
I crashed and burned a few times. I had the most success with a Cessna Citation jet, but enjoyed flying the Zin Aviation plane a bit more. It was more difficult to control, but after a half hour or so, I felt comfortable.
I attempted to fly over my house but this was at the beginnings of my gaming session. Crashed a few too many times. I'll go back another time and give it a go.
The discover mode is a cool feature. You don't have to worry about taking off. I flew around Mount Everest, high above the clouds. I'll check out the rest of the locations in the coming days.
I had my most enjoyment taking off from Chicago Midway and cruising down to the city and taking Lake Shore Drive north. I flew over Soldier Field but had trouble finding Wrigley. I came back through the city at a low altitude and flew between building that was really exhilarating. Going in to first person view made it all the more terrifying. I finally flew northwest to check out some of the suburbs and then finally headed for O'Hare. And abruptly crashed.
Much more to learn and discover, but what a relaxing and cool gaming experience.

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
Very cool to see people get into flight simming. I dont know if it will ever make it to xbox but on pc there are career mode type add ons like onair company https://www.onair.company/ and there are tons of virtual airlines like the one I'm in, https://www.swavirtual.com/wn/
Just flying around is great but I find enjoyment in using the above and multiple other add ons to enhance the experience. Hopefully the xbox users can get similar opportunities in the future.

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?
Is it me or does rain and snow simply don't fall in this game ? No matter if I pick rain, snow or storm, all 3 look the same, just cloudy. I don't see rain falling or snow falling.Comment

That's awesome. Hopefully those come to Xbox as it seems it'd kinda make it more like American Truck Simulator and give you endgoals instead of just flying around.Very cool to see people get into flight simming. Yes but minus the pedals. Excellent flight stick for the money.
