Took a while to load in, was in the queue for over an hour (perhaps close to two). Once I loaded in, everything was mostly fine except a few very slow loading transitions. I also had a glitch in career mode trying to pick an airport and getting some error. I did notice you can't pick just any airport, for some reason, so I couldn't pick my closest airfield. Whether that's intentional or an error, I don't know.

Career mode seems like a nice addition. I haven't gotten all that far yet, but it looks like it could be rewarding to progress through.

Performance is a mixed bag for me. I'm guessing you need an absolute hulk GPU to get smooth performance. I have a 3080 12 GB and even at High, not Ultra, I get a lot of stutters and things not loading all that well. Not totally unexpected. It seems too soon to upgrade but maybe on the outside chance those 5000-series aren't too overpriced. Yeah right.

And just like that, most of my third party aircraft’s are starting to trickle in already. Including my favorite plane, the 777 by PMDG. My only complaint so far has already been resolved.

I’m also absolutely loving the career mode the deeper I go. One tip I would suggest is to really think about where your starting airport is. You will start with quite a few missions around this area, so just be sure to be strategic about where you choose. The airport I chose is in central MD. I wish I would have picked an airport more to the East so that some of my missions were over the coast.

One last thing, for people who are endlessly waiting in the queue to get online. I just logged on at 10am ET and had zero wait time for obvious reasons. I’ll now just leave my Xbox on for when I’m ready to play more later. I know this isn’t ideal for most people but it is an option.

Spent about 3 hours last night just in queue and never moving. Was able to log on for a few mins before work this morning.

Will be playing n series X and have will probably be getting Turtle Beach VelocityOne for Christmas. So may just try and hold off and pretend the game hasn’t released yet. Lol

Had issues yesterday. Going to try again later today. Heard Microsoft and Asobo Studios Chiefs in meetings all day with IT to rectify server issues. I can understand launch issues but Microsoft with its financial clout and cloud services to go thru this? So disappointing.

For anyone having issues.

I installed the game on pc gamepass yesterday but got stuck at 100% unpacking.

I tried again today and it was still giving an error. Uninstalled and re-installed, and I was in the game within moments.

This does look incredibly cool. I’m looking at that as well as the Airline Pilot, I really enjoy flying those beasts. Search and rescue is another one that looks really interesting.

The one caveat about choosing Search & Rescue is you get to have a plane or helicopter. That is a big draw. Haven't started yet but now I'm debating it
