Anywhere between Launch and 6 months after. Luckily my mother is a supervisor at a store and can procure a unit for me.

same here, now that I'm out of school and working full time I could afford it...I feel for the younger guys out there though, it's rough when you're in HS or College to get a system at launch, I don't think I've had a system at launch ever actually.

I'll prolly get them both at release. However, that also depends on whether or not they're both backwards compatable. I want to know I can play all games (new and old) on each respective system.

Maaaannn, I remember when the PS1 came out. I was broke, no job and no hopes of my parents spending 300+ on something that'll make me lazier than i already was.

My freind had got one for Christmas(spoiled bastard) so I had played it on its launch. When the price had droped down to 150, I had stole at least 100 bucks from my pops bank, had about 10 Genesis games I was gonna trade in and borrowed the remainding balance from my spoiled *** freind to get one. And I had did all of that riding the bus. I remember coming home with that puppie. I was scared as all hell that some group of dudes would of saw that big clear plastic Toys R Us bag(why they used clear plastic bags back then is beyond me, but I knew that so I was prepared with a big Marshall Fields bag to hide my purchase) But that was one scary ride home at night on the bus but I made it

I never purchased a PS2. My gfs brother had one and I just...umm..sort of claimed it by buying games for it....and also a Network adapter and HDD. We split the money for the XBOX so I can actually say that I own part of a XBOX??

When the next-gen systems come out, XBOX first, I will have the cash in hand patiently awaiting on its release. And I'll also make sure I got the cash for addtional accessories and a game.

I'll be picking up an Xbox 2, but not sure when. I need to see what the launch titles are looking like, so I can get pumped up. I'm looking forward to the E3 showing. As of now, I'm content with my xbox and still have plenty of games I want to buy for that.
