Re: When will you pick up a next-gen console?
I'll be getting Xbox2 at launch...or shortly thereafter.
As far as bugs, I normally would wait until they're worked out, but with the product replacement plans offered now, if there's anything wrong I'll take back my 1st gen unit when they release newer ones if there are any problems.Comment

Re: When will you pick up a next-gen console?
The only way I will pick up an Xbox Next is if there is an unbelievably good NFL title (or generic professional football title from Sega) that makes my jaw drop. Football games have always driven my decision-making, and dollars for that matter, in picking a next-gen console.Comment

Re: When will you pick up a next-gen console?
I'll wait as long as it takes for the system to come down to 200-250 bucks. And if the systems come out at 300 then I'll wait for it to come down to 200. If they are at a ridiculous price (say 500) then 250 will be my point.
I'm not paying for a launch console and I hope not many other people do. Not because I don't want to be the only kid on the block without a new XBOX or PS or Nintendo, but because it's about time that we as the consumer show our power in the video game industry."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: When will you pick up a next-gen console?
I've never picked up a console at launch before so when the XBOX Next drops, I'll make sure I got the dough for the console, a extra controller and a game.
I doubt that many of you who say 2 years after launch will be able to hold off that long. This is'nt Super Famicom we're talking about. This is PS3 and XBOX2. When you see those first screen shots and game list, you'll want one right away. Its easy to say now that you can wait because we dont have much info so far as well as much interest, believe me though, let it be a sports game that gets highlighted...we'll be all over it.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Anywhere between Launch and 6 months after. Luckily my mother is a supervisor at a store and can procure a unit for me.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
