Gamecube for Resident Evil 4

I am really leaning towards getting a Gamecube for Resident Evil 4. There are other games like the Metroid Prime series that I would like to try but other than that what is left? I don't want any Mario type games so for the Gamecube owners out there, what are the pros and cons for that system?

Resident Evil 4 is also coming out for the PS2 later on. I don't have a link for it but its been confirmed. It might also be coming out for the Xbox but they didn't confirm it yet.

It is confirmed for PS2 and not for XBox. PS2 release is late 2005\early 2006

If you are a fan of the series then you should go out and get a GC. I can tell you now that it won't be the same on GC.

Went out and got another GC myself. This system is so underated and the games for it offer loads of replayability. Cons are no dvd playback or hard drive. But those aren't Nintendo's strengths. Games are the system's strength. If you like RPG's there are some great one's out for it right now. Baten Kaitos, Tales Of Symphonia, just to name a few.

I am getting RE4, and I was tempted to re-pick up the rest of the series on Cube, but 2 and 3 are both going for over $70 on Ebay!! Forget it!! I figured they would all be in the $20 range by now.
