I'd say you'd be better off just buying a GC than trading in stuff. You can still find the Mario Kart bundle that includes it and an extra controller for $99. If you don't like MK, it is still a $50 game so you can get a decent trade in then if you wanted to.

This game seems to be living up to all the hype and surpassing it. Its too bad it couldn't have come out back in November or December when everything Nintendo was overshadowed. I'll be picking it up shortly.

I just finished the game as well 23 hours. It was a lot of fun and I would suggest it for everyone. One of the best games that I have played.

No doubt about it, RE4 is a bonafide "System Seller". I never thought I would buy a Gamecube...thank God I did.

There are barely enough words to describe RE4. The closest analogy I can come up with is thinking back to the first time I picked up the very first Tomb Raider. I couldn’t believe what I was playing, and I couldn’t put it down. RE4 is a glimpse into what the next gen systems have in store for us. The quality of the storytelling and the pacing of the game are exquisite. And the graphics! Just awesome.

If you just bought a Gamecube for this game, like I did, make sure you pick up Zelda: Wind Waker..another great game. Metroid Prime is unbelievable too. Why the hell did I wait so long to buy a Gamecube??

The new Zelda is going to be amazing as well. There really is almost no excuse now for anyone who enjoys video games not to own a Gamecube. They are cheap and you can get some great games cheap as well. If you have a PS2 or Xbox, it is a great compliment to those. I started off with a GC and now have an Xbox and I have just about everything I could want to play right now.

                    Re: Resident Evil 4 impressions

I'm dragging this thread up from the dead.
I just bought this yesterday and played it for close to 3 hours last night. I have loved the RE series since it's inception. Unfortunately, I had sold my PS2 for an Xbox just before this game came out. I've been dying to play it ever since.

                    So far, I'm loving it.

One question though; do the red Spindels play a role in this game or are they simply used as currency to buy weapons/supplies?

If I remember correctly there's an item I think that has slots for them to make them more valuable than the sum of the parts individually... but just to make sure, the spindels are gem-like right?

Sorry, I should have given a better description. Yes, they're red gem-like things. I tried combining them with the Beerstein, Crown and another Crown-looking thing (Blue and White) but they won't take.
I'm still on chapter 1 so I'm sure they'll come up later on. But I'm tempted to sell them to the dealer to pick up the rifle or TMZ.

And man do I love that shotgun!

It's been a while, but if I remember, spindels are just to be sold. Gems can be added to other items to make them more valuable, but I'm pretty sure spindels are just to be exchanged.
