    Re: Escape from Tarkov

I haven't played this game enough to know what the hell is going on, but I know I like it. I just need some time to explore the maps and get familiar with everything.

When I first got it, I randomly chose a map that was in the woods at night. I didn't have anything equipped, so it probably wasn't the best way to begin my adventure. I started running in a random direction and less than a minute later, I saw a flashlight down the road. I didn't think he could see me at all, but he proved me wrong when he started shooting. I got the **** outta there.

When I made it to some trailers and it took me a while to figure out how to loot. I kept hitting Y and having the dude scream at me in Russian.

Once I left that area, I started walking toward some sort of base. Everything was all good, but then "boom." I hit a landmine or something. I was hurt but still alive, somehow. Then I took another step forward and got blown up all the way. That was my first experience in Tarkov. I have a lot of work to do, this game is no joke.

HUGE fan of this game, its nothing like any other that I've played. every match is so thrilling and high stakes. I'm still low level and only played a few of the maps but i cant get enough. my advice would be always pull up the map from google images so u can find the exits. eventually u will learn them by memory. also, combat is gonna be frustrating until u get good at it - try to get good at just running in, looting your bags full, and getting the hell out. you can make millions very easily without ever encountering another player if you learn where the hidden stashes are (look up the map for those too).

I think you ran into the land mines on woods. they make up the northern boundary. happens to everyone when they're first starting out! in the day time u can see a sign that says landmines

        Escape from Tarkov

Who else is still playing? This new wipe is such a grind! Level 20 flea market is a ***** to hit. I need more people to play with.

          Re: Escape from Tarkov

I've been playing it and love the new flea market increase. I wouldn't even mind to see it be higher, honestly. It's increased the early wipe feel and that's a huge plus in my eyes.

The new scav karma system is also great. I've had an incredible amount of interactions with other scavs now thanks to the new system. No more KOS nonsense anymore. I've been killed by another scav once so far this wipe while I've had easily double digit interactions with other scavs where we either mumbled in passing, stuck together for a little bit of time, stayed aimed at each other, backing up until out of view, etc. It's a great addition that has added a whole other layer to the game now.

I will say with the flea market being a level 20 thing now, I've been able to build up money a bit more than in the past since I am not simply buying all of the hideout upgrades I need. I've already gotten two lucky scav junkboxes and a stash full of gear and I'm still about to get right back over the million roubles mark once again. I can't imagine I'll need a 3 scav junkbox, but if I do, a couple more raids and I'll have the roubles to get yet another one already. I really need a meds case more than anything at this point.

I really have to get back into this game. I don't think I've played in about three wipes or so now.

Absolutely hate it. I don't have time to game 24/7 and can usually only play 2-3 hours a night after work and life stuff. I feel I'll never unlock the market now lol

If you just focus on quests you can level up pretty quick. I didn't play the first week and haven't played this past week and I'm still already almost level 20 despite playing maybe only 40 raids so far.

                  Re: Escape from Tarkov

This wipe might be the best ever so far. The recoil changes are more than welcome. Shooting feels great. Gunfights feel great because of it.

The new Ground Zero map is awesome. It's great to have a map with a level cap for people like myself who generally start each wipe late and progress slowly through it. I'm almost to level 15 and have had a blast to this point.

The performance this wipe is also the best it has ever been. Even Streets is buttery smooth.

Only issue I have had this wipe is allowing myself to get on Reddit. I swear they spend more time on their complaining than they do even playing the game. And every other person apparently runs into cheaters every other raid. I have 1,200 hours in the game and can only point to 2 different times where I thought someone was a little suspect.

Then again, I've seen enough posts on Reddit to know that half the time they call cheats it is because they were playing poorly and with a great lack of awareness. I also know half the dolts over there would call me a cheater simply because of my stats since I play slowly and use sound all the time, so my SR is sky high as is my KD.

would this ever come to console?

Probably less than 0% chance of that happening
