PStwo recall

Rumor has it that Sony is planning a recall for all of the PStwo's because it can't read any black or blue bottom disks. I just bought one yesterday and realized my Action Replay disk (blue bottom) doesn't work so I might have to return the system.

If you're planning on buying a PS2, get the old one.

Guess I'm lucky, I've had mine since the first shipment in October and it works fine.

Does the new psTWO have usb inputs?

i have a old sharkport from 2001, which uses usb connection.

Not the case here. Although it doesn't read your Action Replay disk b/c Sony made them that way. Any third party device such as that, Gameshark, Shark/Xport/ and Codebreaker does NOT work with the PSTwo.

Again, this is only a RUMOR, and to be taken as more would be silly.

Yep. I have a PSTwo, and it plays blue-bottomed discs just fine. Had a long ICO session just yesterday, in fact.

Action replay and the likes are Sonys enemy they dont want that running on their console for an obvious reason. There is no recall because those disks are unnoficial!
