Media Molecule and Sumo Digital are far removed from the LBP franchise, but that hasn't stopped the fan community from putting their hat into the ring.
In development by a team of talented community members (called Trixel Creative), they are bringing to us a non-profit Sony-approved title that will release for us on PC at some point in the future. They released a trailer a month ago showing how the mouse is integrated, and are still in alpha stage at the moment.

There will be a story mode and users can create online content, as well as there being new objects, stickers, and even music from the team to bring to the title. However, because it is non-profit, they won't be able to work servers out, so online play is likely not possible.
Looking forward to the potential of cracking at least 60 FPS with this, and I want to see where this goes!
