Sully, maybe not now, but give it some time and I bet you will buy the PSP, I just got mine the other day and I'm still amazed buy it. I can't wait to get my Ridge Racer so I can final play a game on it. I think paid $300 for mine and if I had to do it again I would still pay the same. The machine is going to be amazing no doubt about it. I downloading some pics of my daughter and the pic looks so clear and great. Sully I have a 2 year old daughter and I know you have a you child too, just think of all the times you have to go to boring places with the wife and the time you got to sit in the doctors office for you kid, and you sit bored out of your mind, trust me the PSP will make you much Happier. Just to think that now I can take my sports games with me to work or shoping with my fiance and not be mad/bored about it makes PSP that much greater.

I currently have no kids and travel (fly) usually twice a year...I'd rather save that 200 + cash for games I can play at home, since I currently don't have the need for a handheld...plus 200 bucks is just crazy for a handheld, they're going to price themselves out of the kid market soon, and that's gotta be a huge handheld market.

Re: Has anyone pre-orderd a PSP?

I pre-ordered this weekend from Software ETC.. here in Hawaii. They told me that they already had about 100 pre orders and that supplies would be limited. I had to put $50 down to reserve however they could not give me a final retail price only saying that it would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $200-$250.

On another note, does anyone know what exactly will be included in the box with the PSP? Will it be like Japan where they have the value pack (with the case, memory card, strap, ac adaptor) and the regular bare bones pack?
