Use a shovel and make 3 holes behind you. You will stand between the holes and the rock. Make sure you grab everything around the rock as if something is taking up a spot like weeds or stones, the rock won't drop anything else. The holes behind you is to stop you from "recoiling" away from the rock as you hit it with a shovel. As long as you can mash a and stay near the rock you can get up to 8 drops from a single rock.

We had a power outage at work on Monday and they sent us home early. Picked this up on the way. I played the mobile version of animal crossing last year or so and thought it was cool but stopped. So far, I'm digging this. Something that's 0 stress to pick up and enjoy.

I use a flimsy tool. Whenever I use reg tool the rock breaks.
Could be because I ate fruit (gives you strength) when I used regular tool. Either way I always use flimsy .. just in case.

Also just finally did my first trip. Gathered more stuff I hadn't found yet. Grabbed a few coconuts and planted at my Island.
                  Love this game lol

I caved. Ordered the physical copy online at Best Buy.com. Had a $20 reward certificate to use towards it too. Gonna pick it up on my way home from work.

Wow, I didn't even think of the fact that you'd be able to plant the coconuts lol. I just sold them all. Whoops. Guess I'll have to buy another Nook Miles ticket.

                              New update

A new software update has been released for Animal Crossing: New Horizons today following a brief maintenance window for the game!

The latest update brings the game up to Version 1.1.1 and contains only one notable change, but it’s an extremely important one for those who enjoy trading with others online.

According to the official patch notes released by Nintendo, the Version 1.1.1 update of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has “Fixed a serious bug affecting game balance”, which we have confirmed is a popular item duplication glitch.

After updating to Version 1.1.1, you will no longer be able to perform the item duplication glitch which required two players in the local co-op multiplayer mode of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. By placing a small item on a table and constantly rotating the item, another player could pick up duplicates repeatedly off the table.

Note that you will need to be updated to Version 1.1.1 to play online multiplayer with other players and access other network features. Local multiplayer can only be played with others on the same version of the game as you.

So I’m trying to figure out what to do at this point. Looks like I can’t travel. Where do you guys store resources gathered? Just in your tent or do you sell? I see my fellow inhabitants already have little houses and I still have the tent. Lol
