    WOW, EA is loaded

    I just watch ESPN News and they had one of there guys from IGN, he one of the guys that talk about the sports games, and no it wasn't Hilary, but they said that EA paid ESPN $850 million for the 15 year deal, wich i think is just crazy, but hey it's not my money.

    Yeah that's nuts, but so worth it to both EA and ESPN for long term dollars.

Madden was already tops, now with the ESPN tv style presentation in it and owner mode. They will easily reach and surpass that 17 Mill copies ($850 Mill / $50 price of madden). Madden sells several Million copies each year on the PS2 alone.

                    Sounds like a smart investment on EA's part. Shut down the competition, and then cash in.

                        First off, that's 56 Million a year. Does anyone know what EA's yearly revenue is? It's estimated over 2 Billion. 850 Million is about 100-150 Million more than what EA makes in a QUARTER!

                        This is nothing for EA to do. Remember, EA Sports is a very small portion of Electronic Arts. There's a lot more to EA than just Madden, MVP etc....
