Re: Is it worth it to have 2 systems?

I was one of those people that traded my fully loaded PS2 in for an xbox.

And then it happened....I got the GTA Itch when San Andreas came out, and I had to go and pick up a used PS2 just to calm my fix. But now it's coming to the xbox...

The only thing that is the big difference between them is playing online. On the PS2 there are people trying to play with just 56k and it Bites. Xbox its only broadband users only.

I own both PS2/Xbox and its more than worth it. They have alot of the same game but they also each have their share of exculsives. I love RPG's so PS2 is the place for that, when I feel like a FPS I turn on my Xbox simple as that.

I think that everyone should own all 3 systems. I dont own a GC, but I have one laying around my house since my firend moved with us.

But having the option of walking into EB or Gamestop and being able to buy anything off the shelves is priceless.

Granted, most PS2 titles are also on the XBOX but there are many, many games that are'nt. Its worth it if you want to try any game with no limitations.

It seems like it's almost a must that you have 2 systems. I own X-Box and PS2 the box gets much more play time but it's great to have the Ps2 for PS only titles. Gamecube seems to "kiddie" to me so I can do without that. My days of Mario Kart are over.

There's only a couple of games on the ps2 that I want and one of them is coming to the xbox so I don't need to have two systems. The gamecube only has two games that I want so it's not worth it for me to buy one.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

XBOX>PS2>GC only because of the things you can get. Just looking at the online content, it's hard to have the XBOX if you don't have DSL/Broadband. Still, it works out best cause it hold a whole lot of stuff on the hard drive not to mention that you can download patches for games. A good example would be the NBA 2K5 patch. PS2 has better buttons on the controller but not by that far anymore now since I've been killing the XBOX. I don't have gamecube but was thinking about getting it only because it's mad cheap. Still, I wouldn't play it and it would disappoint me only because it doesn't have any online. I also have to say that the graphics are much too good on the XBOX. Just so freaking crisp and clear. PS2 is nice but I just lost my love for it. Only play NFL 2K5 on there every once in a while. Waiting for San Andreas on XBOX. XBOX seriously is the best. PS2 next. GC if you have some nice money to spend....

I chose to get the gamecube as my 2nd system instead of the Xbox just because the games are to similar between the Playstation and Xbox. Plus I'm a big Zelda, Metroid fan which is only on the cube. Resident Evil 4 is awesome too which is only on the cube for now.

i got all 3 - unfortunately the Cube gets the least of my playing time, but i soooo love playing the Rebel Strike series.. Xbox i use as the main console, with the PS2 being used for the 989 games... (i traded in a ton of old games to get the Cube - was about $50 bucks used at Gamestop)..
