    How do the DLCs work?

Sorry if this is not the right thread for this kind of topic, but I could not find either where it would fit better nor the topic itself, so:

How do the DLCs actually / generally work?

I have recently got the Last of Us Remastered from PS store (the first game of its kind I would have ever played), and while the game was downloading I browsed through DLCs just for fun and decided to download two minor ones (one a football helmet, lol, and the other was some kind of shotgun).

I thought it would mean that once I fired up the game, my character (Joel) would automatically be equipped with both of these, but that's apparently not the case. So am I missing something or does it simply mean that I have to find those things in the game first, and that without the purchase they would not appear in the game at all?

    Minnesota Timberwolves
    Green Bay Packers
    Marshall Thundering Herd
    Los Angeles Dodgers

I could be wrong but it sounds like you bought multiplayer items. From what I remember there was only one single player dlc called left behind or something like that, which probably was included in the remastered version

Damn. Rookie mistake, then. Oh well, the DLCs were worth around 2€ total so no big deal, but definitely a disappointment.

And yes, LB is included in the game I downloaded.

Thank you very much for the answer nonetheless.
