The PC Game, or the tabletop game?

I used to play tabletop, but it was just too time-intensive.

Tabletop. I just got into it and I'm fairly addicted already. I'm building a decent TAU army. Who did you use when you played?

Man, I used to hate building all those unassembled plastic marines. Lets not even go into the painstaking painting part.

I still have them, probably around 40 to 50 of them.

            All hand glued and painted.

I had a Dark Angels one and an Orc one.

It's really fun stuff, and a great way to spend an afternoon. I used to really enjot the modeling, as well. It just becamt too much time and money once the famnily came along.

                    I agree.

I really enjoyed building them and painting them with my son (in the beginning). But then it started to become too time consuming, so we stopped buying the "kits".

Once my daughter started getting a little older we just stopped all together.

I work 3rd shift, so when its slow, I paint models and watch movies on the portable. My first guy was hideous, so I just bought a handfull of junk models for a buck to practice on.

I was big into wargaming growing up. I started with Star Wars Miniatures battles (had AT-ATs, speeders, etc.) Then I moved into Games Workshop stuff...Warhammer (built Chaos and Lizardmen armies. I built an Eldar 40K army.

I also played historicals as well. It was pretty funny...here I was this 15 year old kid gaming with 40-50 year old doctors, professors, etc. I built Yorck's Prussian Corps for Napoleonics (and whipped Davout's French corps on one occassion!)

Damn...I didn't realize how much money I spent on lead soldiers, paints, primers, etc. My mom always had a cow because the house constantly smelled like paint fumes and there were overspray marks on the deck where I got too "primer happy" on occasion.
