    Condemned for PS3/Xbox 2/PC

Anybody else get the new GameInformer? This game sounds, and looks incredible.

    Info:
    - Developed by Monolith, published by Sega
    - Inspired by Seven and Silence of the Lambs, rather than Doom 3 or RE.
    - The game is in first-person
    - Lots of exploration w/ six forensic tools to use.
    - Havok 3.0 physics on all objects
    - You play an FBI agent hunting psychotic serial killers
    - Bulk of fighting is melee combat. Around 20 weapons; pipes, pieces of wood, shovels, etc..
    - Xbox 2 only "slightly harder to work with than the Xbox"

Also for the baseball fans, two of the baseball games ESPN MLB 2K5 and MVP Baseball 2005 get reviewed.

As long as you put it in quotes and put the source it's perfectly legal. Thanks by the way.

                    Re: Condemned for PS3/Xbox 2/PC

Straight from Monolith, the developer of this game.

The first Xbox, Playstation 2, and Gamecube all required developers to create tools to make a game before the actual game design even began, but the Xbox 2 does not. The development kits are loaded with programs to help the team build the game and meet Microsoft's certifications. As a result, the programmers are able to spend more time making the game great, rather than making sure it works with the hardware as it should. In other words, as Waters puts it, the Xbox 2 allows you to "design your house, rather than design it after you figure out how the plumbing will work."

According to Waters, the Xbox 2 is easier to program for than the Playstation 2 or Gamecube, and only slightly harder to work with than the original Xbox. Programming for the new console is more complex, he says, only because it gives the developer more options to work with. He also claims that it is a more true console than Microsoft's first(rather than a PC in a box), and it will be more powerful than the best PCs on the market when it launches.

Sounds good. Microsoft is betting on XNA, becomes the Windows of videogame development and follow the Internet Explorer, Office, and Windows Media Player monopolies?

Where can I get more tidbits about the gaming wars if I'm trying to explain the differences added to the new generation systems? I do like this little quote though. Quite hot. I respect Microsoft even more because of the way they push the envelope for technology. Microsoft looks like Sega Sports with money to me.
