While others (me included) are playing the next gen GTA's and Halos. Nintendo Revolution owners will have some gizmo attached to their head where they blink to make Mario jump.
Seriously, some of Nintendo's comments about they're next gen console are disturbing.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

But as a gamer I'd rather have the option of playing online then having the option to link up a GBA and GameCube.
Call me crazy but playing ESPN NHL 2k5 online is a lot better than unlocking extra madden cards from connectivity.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Re: E32005: Nintendo's Show
Nintendo is too arrogant for their own good. Thats my take on it. I remember when the N64 was announced, and people questioned why they were the only system maker to not go to a CD based gaming console. Nintendo responded that they didnt feel it was needed because the consumer didnt want it, even though cartridge based software has a higher production cost which was passed on to consumers. Does anyone else remember that N64 games at launch were 59.99+?
Then the Gamecube comes along and Nintendo says they dont support online gameplay because they feel consumers want more than simple online play. Really? It seems to be working out for Sony anf Microsoft. IMO the gamecube has a couple of good titles, but no online play really hurts most of the cross platform games. Why buy a game for the GC if you can get it on PS2 and play it against other people?
Nintendo needs to get off the high horse and give people what they want instead of telling us what we want. If they do that, the Revolution could be an awesome system.Last edited by Virix; 02-11-2005, 06:55 PM.Comment

Re: E32005: Nintendo's Show
Well the one good thing of the N64 atleast it didn't have long load times like the PS1 did at the time. But I do admit I did like PS1 games alot better than N64 games.Comment

Its not the high horse syndrome, it is their teachings.
Example. Everyone knows that Japanese are taught way more than American students, They are in school year round and go at it like its a 9-6 job. People perceive this as them being smarter than Americans, when the reality is that they are just trained to know everything and follow tradition. They dont like change. They dont understand evolution, which is why i find Revolution being the codename highly ironic and hilarious. The have a hard time thinking for themselves as they are trained to just do whatever is placed in front of them.
Ever notice how all those Japanese cartoons(Pokemon/Digimon) are the same damn thing? Its so they buy all the crap without needing to think for themselves. The "our master is correct, so we must obey it" style of thinking.
My thinking is that they see American culture as being based on retro style, every 40 years something is brough back and made to look current enough to fit it. Only they also see that the pace has picked up and we are recycling our own culture on a 20 year scale now. They arent trying to fit in with now, they are just waiting til they are back in as the flavor of the now.Comment
