I just finished the game. I nearly 100% the game in 24 hours. Only one side thing I didn't finish. But, what a great game. It took what Spider-Man Miles Morales did with the smoothness of combat and Improved on that. I played the game on Fidelity and game still felt smooth, as someone who always play on Performance.

I felt they did good of setting up a third game with Miles as the lead guy.
Which I don't mind. I preferred playing as Miles over Peter, until Peter got ths symbiote suit. It was funny when MJ became Scream. She was speaking from the heart about Peter not having a job and not being able to pay bills lol. I did feel they made MJ overpowered, but not a big deal. I can also see the Flame becoming Carnage in the third game. It feel like they really dialed back the active crimes compared to the first game.

About 60% through and absolutely loving it. Probably my favorite game since last of us 2.

Just beat the game last night at 96% over all just a few collectibles left. 29 hours still not sure how people are getting all the trophies so fast has there are a few hard ones to get and most games are almost impossible to get ever trophy. But I also don't really trophy hunt. First game was like a top 20 all time game this one is probably like top 13. Can't wait for wolverine, spiderman 3 and what ever else this amazing studio does.

I’ve never attempted to platinum a game for the point you just made, there’s usually 1-3 trophies that are just ridiculous. But with this game, when I went through all the trophies I had left, they all seemed very attainable, and they were. The trophies that are “hidden”, if you ask for a hint it will literally tell you exactly what the trophy is lol.

Started playing this game last night. Anyone else feels the graphics took a hit? Miles Morales and even the 1st one look better to me. This one has a lot of jaggies.

Yeah no the city looks way better than the remaster or miles. MJ, Peter etc don't look has good has the city though. Ratchet and clank rift apart is still the best looking game this gen. I thought maybe this game could look better than ratchet but it don't but the city it's self looks crazy good.

They did a helluva job with Spider-Man and symbiote. Just got to the mission where I'm looking for MM. The attidue change, feeling more like a bad *** when fighting, and even the web swinging feels more powerful. [emoji1490][emoji1490][emoji1490]

This game has open world mode correct ? Where you can just swing around, fight things and just do whatever you want ??

If yes, is it unlocked from the start or after you reach a certain point ?

Yeah, it's either available from the start or right after the tutorial mission.

I finally beat the first Spiderman game and decided to jump into this. About 20% of the way through.

Really like some of the QoL improvements like no more mashing square to do dumb things like opening doors or stopping cars from crashing on every street crime car chase. The PS controller pad swipe commands are not great, but they are a net positive because it opens up other buttons for better button combinations in combat which are more frequently used.

That opening sequence with Sandman hit hard. Really well done both in combat as well as the cinematics.

The only thing that I'm not loving about this game is the story though. While I can honestly say that I like Miles Morales as a character and I even like him as Spiderman (in isolation), he will never be Spiderman in my mind. So, when I play a Spiderman game then I want to play as Spiderman.

Spiderman is the guy who got bitten by a radioactive spider years ago in some freak occurrence (so that the Spiderman story could happen, it is a super hero story after all). Having that same infinitesimally freakish occurrence happen again is just...lazy writing.

I know that I'm going to be in the minority there, but it's just a pet peeve on mine to abuse overly convenient plot devices. Based on some of the foreshadowing that I have seen, I'm pretty certain that I will not play spiderman 3 when it comes out if the rest of the story plays out like I expect it to. The current game is still fun though thanks to some very fluid controls and allowing you to roam around in the spidey setting.

If you don't mind anyone other than Peter Parker playing the role of Spiderman then you will probably love this game. For me it is:
9/10 combat and controls.
5/10 as a Spiderman game

Just started New Game+ mode. New suits to get, new upgrades to get, and just an amazing game to play through and enjoy again. Definitely worth a second play through.
