I reached the Capitol building and called it a night. This game is BEAUTIFUL graphically, super impressed with how good this game looks. The sound design with a good headset is also amazing. Can’t wait to keep playing throughout the weekend. My favorite game of all time is somehow even better with this version, highly recommended! Just wish it came with Factions too haha.

The Pulse 3D headset really shines with this game. I can't get over how much more immersed it makes things. Also, playing with Joel again is a blast.

I dont remember speed running through the first game but I just walk everywhere and take in this haunting world. Walking around one second hearing birds chirping, then the chirping fades and it's dead silent. Then you hear the anguished screams of someone turning or clicking from the clickers. I never really appreciate the audio in games but it is a big part of this experience.

Platinum achieved.

The best version of my GOAT game, I had a blast going through this for the I don’t even know how many time haha.

I will say though, if you’ve played TLoU before and aren’t a super fan of the game/series like myself, I’d say this definitely isn’t worth $70. For me it easily was, and I say that not to knock the PS5 version (it’s awesome!), but Remastered still holds up REALLY well and I believe you can play it for free with the PS+ collection on PS5. Plus if you’re into multiplayer, Remastered has Factions where Part 1 on PS5 doesn’t.

I will keep this installed for more run throughs in the future, I definitely need to go a Grounded run.

But yea, I had a blast and this will probably forever be my favorite game. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for the standalone Factions game, it’s going to be great for sure.

Besides textures, resolution, and frame rate there's report that the cut scenes runs seamlessly into gameplay too. Was that correct? Anything new regarding combat, dialogues, or information learned?

I finished playing this version yesterday (platinumed it) and even after probably at least five or so play-throughs since its initial release, I never tire of this masterpiece. It is the greatest game I've ever played (gaming since the mid 1970's) and this version is the quintessential version, that is, until a PS6 version is released, and I'll buy that version as well. I can't tell you how many versions of "The Godfather" I have, but when something is that good, I'll keep buying it, and I consider TLOU to be the Godfather of video games.

This version shines in every aspect. From the awesome 3D audio (clickers and bloaters never sounded so creepy!) to the amazing 4K graphics (gameplay is smooth as silk, the environment feels alive and organic, and the cut scenes are like watching a movie), everything about this game is exquisite.

It really does look awesome!

From the trailer it does appear as if they're doing a pretty faithful recreation of the game itself. In almost every scene I recognize where they were from playing the game so many times.

Its not a huge deal that changed Pittsburgh to Kansas City, one burned out, evacuated city is as good as the next.

My one hope is that the series adds some flavor and context to supporting characters that wasn't in the game. For example, I would love to see Tommy's character explored more, especially why he chose to leave the Fireflies. There must be a story there that could be fleshed out.
