    It's a lot. I can agree with that. The best thing to do is look up playthroughs and tutorials on YouTube. Those helped me immensely.

      We all started one day This kind of games first needs time and passion.

      I actually started a new campaign on 1862 scenario with CSA, whihc i believe is quite challenging with McClellan army threatening Richmond at the start on the back of Northern Virginia army (which is not yet labelled as such)...
      I spent honestly like 6-8h over the weekend just looking at troops organisation, weapons supply plan, recruitement priorities, supply lines and depots, public finance impacts, policies and projects... and general plan not advancing at all.

      It looks overwhelming but honestly it is not that hard and the game does not put you in a position to micro manage the economic side. You just make laws, projects, define tax policies, (eventually) you can start some construction... like a real governement.

      I will try the DLC one of these days but the base gae for me is the best wargame i ever played so i like to go back to it once a year
