I got the game last night. It's phenomenal. I am an avid military history buff and it's nice to get to experience as real a world war II shooter as possible with Brothers in Arms.

Unlike Call of Duty...which I love regardless, great game....I actually FEEL like I need to take cover, etc. Not having health packs and realizing that one good machine gun blast can kill you adds a great deal of tension and excitement to the game.

Oh..and the soundtrack is incredible.

Also...the game looks GORGEOUS. I am playing it on a Hitachi 60" LCD Widescreen with an Onkyo 1000 watt 7.1 Surround sound system. The machine guns rattle my condo.

I'm still trying to get use to the language. Man! I've never heard so many F bombs dropped in a 2 minute span in a video game. Definitely not for the younger crowd...but again...adds to the realism.

I'm sure US Soldiers weren't screaming...."Oh Crumbs! I'm hit!".

Could someone tell me what are the offline multiplayer modes and if you can play these modes alone too as ''mini games'' like in Killzone?

I'm trying to figure out what the germans are screaming half the time. I swear I hear words like zusammen (i know thats spelled wrong), which means to arrange a meeting, and I hear shlafe which I know means "to sleep" so I am trying to isolate their voices to figure it out.

Yeah you do get to shoot, but just be used to not every single one of your shots being 100% accurate, it's realistic.

Zusammen when used as a verb does mean ''arrange a meeting'' (like that joke in Eurotrip) but when it's an adverb it means ''together''. So unless they plan to date on the battlefield... I assume they mean like ''attack together'' or something like that.

This is possibly the best FPS I've ever played. So much strategy involved and the game just pulls you in. The farther you get, the better it gets.
