    Warzone 2/DMZ

Surprised this hasn’t been posted. I thought I would hate this game coming from a heavy Warzone 1 player because the movement and looting is different but I’m liking it more and more as I play it. There are way too many bugs though and the crashes have been terrible but they got something here that I will play a lot still and it’s different enough from the original to keep it interesting.

The map has been pretty good. Probably not as much as Verdansk but definitely better than Caldera. I see a lot of potential changes and the inclusion of water has been plus for the game.

Having proximity chat has been fantastic and it’s great for comedy and just knowing people are in the area. Lots of **** talking too which brings back old school COD vibes. Also some cool people we come across. DMZ you can talk to them for awhile after you kill them so I had some interesting convos there [emoji23].

What has caught me by surprise though is DMZ. I LOVE this mode. Never played anything like it like Tarkov so it’s been great to get into and I play this mode more than BR.

It’s totally different experience and it’s been great getting to know the map and building up weapons through it.

Also love the challenge of somewhat above average bots and meeting other players. The bots aren’t hard but they come out of nowhere sometimes and makes it hard if your aren’t in good position.

Losing your gear is so frustrating but love thinking of strategies to go in and complete missions with your friends.

The game still needs polishing, came across a number bugs in DMZ where I can’t complete a mission or the game crashes and you lose everything when it’s not your fault. With that though, I’m having a lot of fun with it.

    Re: Warzone 2/DMZ

I have zero desire to play Warzone, but I love DMZ more than I expected to. I've played more hours of Tarkov than I'd like to admit, so I was curious to see how the DMZ worked. Turns out they did it extremely well. Thing is, it really isn't too much like Tarkov outisde of you losing some gear when you die. It's honestly more like a cross between the Dark Zone in The Division games and Hunt: Showdown.

I haven't played DMZ in a week+ since the crashes got way out of hand, but I am anxious to play it again when the game is finally stabilized. If anyone has any questions about how the mode works, I can give a rundown on it. The game does a terrible job of explaining the mode.

I'm not sure I understand this mode. I tried it once and all I saw was I giant open map and bots.

In summary, it's mostly PvE with PvP sprinkled in. Your goal is to complete quests and safely extract with better gear(armor, backpacks, guns). I could go more in-depth if you want.

Sounds interesting. I'll have to give it a shot. I'm on Xbox, pjv31os if anyone wants to add me.

There are missions you activate that you will complete, 3 at a time. At the start there's only a couple you need to do, tag a contract and complete one, or turn on an antenna for instance. Pretty easy stuff.

Most of the map will be bots but there is roughly 20 or so real players on the map. You may or may not come across them but they are there and you can either kill them or team up with them (up to 6 people on the team) to complete missions. Once you kill them you can collect their gear and guns and you can use them during the mission and keep their guns as "Contraband"

You can start off with making 1 weapon, either one you built up already or build up any available gun you have. You'll also have "Contraband" guns you can include with your loadout. You can also add a tactical/lethal and a specialty item like a ammunition box/recon drone etc. You'll be given a set of contraband guns to start but whatever you guns youget from bots/crates other players you can add as a 2nd weapon or in your backpack and if you exfill properly you get to keep them for future missions.

You also start off with a 1 plate vest and small backpack (carries 5 items) which you can upgrade by looting around the map by either finding it or buying it from the store. There are medium and large backpacks, and 2 and 3 armored vest that can be looted or bought.

The point is to complete the missions in 20 minutes without completly dying and exiting at exfill points. There are 3 points where you can exfill. Once that 20 minutes are up, radiation starts spreading so you'll need to get one of these exfill helicopters and get the hell out. There are other ways to exfill by doing a "Hostage" contract to get a personal helicopter as well.

If you die, you lose all that you collected, the upgraded backpack and any extra plated vest and weapons you brought in the game. If you die with a gun you built, you'll have a 2 hour cool off before you can use your own gun again and will only be able to use contraband weapons you collected in successful missions you've done.

If you succesfully exfill you get to keep guns you were awarded with completing contracts or collected and added to your backpack. If you get a self revive or a killstreak that will carry over the next time you jump in.

There are also many things you can collect for complete certain missions or for xp points. You can also trade in these items at the store for money so you can buy other things you need. It can be a bunch of random stuff like a wrench/picture of a dog to laptops, game consoles or gold bars.

Some items help you do missions like gas cans to refill cars/helicopters or radiation pills so that you can withstand radiation for a certain amount of time.

There's actually a ton of things to do and its a good way to also level up guns if you don't own the multiplayer game as well as getting to know the map inside and out since you are dropped off in a random spawn location.

Anyways, I greatly enjoy it but its infuriating losing all your gear when you crash the game. I lost a large backpack/3 armored vest, my loadout weapon and this amazing sniper i got from completing a mission. I also completed 2 missions and my game crashed and lost all of it as well having to do wait on a 2 hour cool down to use my own weapon.
