There was just something I found interesting about the game, and after watching several vids and seeing the standard version is on sale for $34, thought why not?

I'm still very early on in the game, but so far I'm pretty impressed. As I mentioned I have no idea of the lore or anything to do with Harry Potter, which I feel lends to me having nothing to compare it to, so if something isn't "right" with this universe I have no idea...lol

With 2024 rapidly approaching, Hogwarts will probably be my last game purchase of 2023.

Looking forward to 2024, and tbh the only game(s) I'm looking forward to are Star Wars Outlaws and Assassins Creed :Red.

I have absolutely no interest in Madden anymore, WAY too many issues for me to take that game seriously, I might check out the College game, but not completely 100% sold on that either.
Similar story here; never read the books or watched the movies. Happened to see an extended trailer for the game in a GameStop around the time it launched and thought it looked very interesting, so put it on my wish list and waited for the inevitable holiday sale. Haven't had a chance to start playing it yet, but looking forward to checking it out here soon.

No, the game's definitely not dark or in the mold of traditional FromSoft titles but the main threat you need to help solve is nonetheless a serious one. It's not like the game is a satirical take on a soulslike formula or something (there is another game on the market for that, too).

However, the main character is cute and likable and sometimes even annoyingly positive which definitely helps create generally positive vibes throughout the whole game.

The fact that there's at least one really, really super cute NPC in the game's version of the Firelink Shrine doesn't hurt either.

      Spoiler
      Montreal Canadiens
      Minnesota Timberwolves
      Green Bay Packers
      Marshall Thundering Herd
      Los Angeles Dodgers

2023 Results:For gaming in general for 2023 I just want to enjoy gaming more. Success - I did enjoy gaming more

          Sports games:
          Future Purchases?
          * MLB the Show 23 - Didn't buy still waiting on y2y saves or at least a graphics overhaul
          * EA FC 24 - Purchased - Game hasn't been this good since '20. It's not great but I'm having fun with it.

          In Progress:
          * Gran Turismo 7 - 2nd year in a row my most played game.
          * Dirt 5 - Discontinued - just stopped playing
          * Session: Skate - Discontinued - The are still dropping DLC but the game is missing key animations and character customization because for some reason the studio can't keep an animator. May return someday.

          Non Sports Games:
          In Progress
          * Callisto Protocol - Completed - I had fun with this. It was like playing a B sci-fi horror movie.

          Future Purchases?
          * Final Fantasy XVI - Purchased - Stopped playing - I don't mind action RPGs but that not why I loved old FF games. I'm officially done with this series barring a major shift.
          * Forspoken - Purchased - Stopped playing - Ignored the reviews bought it anyway. Terrible looking game, horrible dialog, felt half baked.
          * A Plague Take: Requiem - Didn't purchase - It's free on PS+ so this gets played in 2024
*PSVR2 - GT7 in VR is a game changer. The kayak game beautiful, chill and quite the workout, the guitar game (can't recall the name) is great as well. Not sure if it was worth the day 1 purchase but I don't regret it,

          Unexpected games:
Mortal Kombat 1 - While I prefer MK11 this is fun and has cemented a permanent spot on the hard drive. I just hop in every few days to do the invasions and unlock some cosmetics.

The Division 2 - Randomly jumped back into this. It's a great looking game despite its age and the gameplay loop is interesting enough to fill time.

Battlefield 2042 - It was fun for a bit when I had a group to play with early in the year. Put in many hours the first quarter of the year. Then fell off.

          My most played games where:
          GT7
          EA FC 24
          Battlefield 2042
          The Division 2
          Mortal Kombat 1

I bought or got a lot of games through PS+ but only finished a handful. For the most part they weren't bad games but I just kept hopping from game to game after putting in a few hours. I think I was chasing trying to get locked into a game like I did in years past with The Witcher 3, RDR2, and Horizon Zero Dawn. Those game just captured my attention and refused to let it go.

I'd say 2023 was a good year for games I was just bad at gaming lol
