Looking for PC Video Card Advice

I'm buying a new video card for my PC. I don't know what the top of the line card is. I currently have GeForce FX 5200 128MB. It's been a while since I've played a PC game that was high on graphics. I want to play games like Far Cry, Half Life 2, Brothers in Arms (When it comes out), MVP 2005, Winning Eleven 8...These are the cards that I'm looking at:

ATI - RADEON X700 PRO Graphics Card 256MB $200

PNY - Verto GeForce 6600 GT Graphics Card 128MB $250

BFG - GeForce 6600 GT OC Graphics Card 128MB $250

BFG - GeForce FX 5500 OC Graphics Card 256MB $150

ATI RADEON 9250 256MB DDR PCI Graphics Card $130

I didn't want to spend more than $200, unless there was a card that Is just leaps and bounds over the competiton. Any Suggestions? I hate making purchases like this...Just can't make a decision.

the 9600xt 256 ram roswill brand is 149 at new egg

if your going to spend 250 then go with the 6600

You need more than just a video card to run games like HL2 with all effects, but out of those I would go with the GT 6600 or the Radeon X700.

Also, do LCD Monitors enhance gaming?

PCI isn't really used in video cards anymore since it's not faster than AGP. PCI Express is the new thing for motherboards, its faster than AGP. It's just a faster connection for cards and buses.
