Re: Star Wars: Republic Commando
If I wasn't getting a PSP and 3 games for it this month on top of BIA, SC:CT, and possibly R6:L I would have picked this one up. I'm going to pick it up when it hits that magic $20 price point. I'd like to hear some impressions though.PSN: ScoopBrady
Xbox GT: Scoop Brady

Re: Star Wars: Republic Commando
Its nice. Real nice.
As a FPS, its pretty standard fair, the only slick feature being the Metroid-esque helmet view which is fairly immersive. The thing that sets it apart is the easy to use squad command interface, where you can direct your three specialist (demolition, sniping, heavy arms) with one-button ease. You get a holographic display pop-up wherever your guys can be deployed, so moving them around the battlefield is pretty fluid. Reminds me of Freedom Fighters in that reguard. So far I'm liking it a little more than Project Snowblind, which is also pretty good.
Heres the Gaming Age forums thread, its got some good impressions: Official SW:Republic Commando Thread!Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: Star Wars: Republic Commando
Because I buy every FPS it seems, I picked this up and really like it. I think the reviewers unjustly slammed the game. I haven't taken it online yet though. It's very immersive though. I do like Project Snowblind though, interesting concept.Comment
