Basically 900 years after Origins, 338 years before the original Assassin's Creed with Altair and 12 years before Valhalla.

Played it for 90 minutes last night. Graphically I would say it is on par with the last game, only with better looking HDR. I didn't think it would it be a huge graphical leap considering they are releasing the game on the PS4 and Xbox One as well. Feels good to be back in the Middle East. I do like this time around they have a lot of native language being spoken. Can't really speak on the combat yet considering I only fought once so far but it was fluid.

Game runs smooth on the PC, which I expected no less considering graphically this isn't that demanding of a game. Game was optimized for the Intel Arc GPU, which is a mid range card. With my RTX 4090 with the settings maxed out, averaging 104fps in 4K, with sometimes hitting 183 to 190fps. Game only uses about 7GB of VRAM.

Going back to the parkour/stealth assassin feel of the Ezio trilogy is a massive W. I couldn't put this down last night, much to the dismay of my 8:00am meeting today.

Shohreh Aghdashloo being the voice actor for Roshan to me is one of the best parts of the game. I could listen to her voice 24/7. I do notice in this game there is way more emphasis on historical sites in this game. Which is cool and all but I feel as though they could have left that for new game plus or tour guide mode because pretty much everywhere you go you see 2 or 3 historical markers pop up.

Also noticed this game requires you to really think about your plan of attack for really important missions. I am at this mission now and yeah I am having to really think about it. Guards are plentiful and this time around going all Rambo style really is a death sentence in this game. Armored heavy guards are no joke. They swarmed and killed me. And the notoriety thing is pretty strong in this game. The NPCs will spot you and rat you out with the quickness.

I will say I am having mixed feelings so far about this game. I loved the Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla style games, I didn't mind pumping in over 100 hours into each game as the world kept me engaged. Unfortunately alot of the gaming community was outraged with this direction the franchise was going so they pumped the brakes on it and went back to its roots.

This too me feels like a DLC on steroids and Ubisoft was very transparent about that with being able to complete the main story in under 20 hours. I will play more over the next fews and see how it's goes.

As Gotmadskilz said this game definitely forces you to use more stealth combat like the older style AC games and also makes you plan out your infiltration missions as well.

Yeah I don’t mind the long a** playtimes either just as long as they aren’t repetitive which Vahalla felt like with the settlements and what parts of Odyssey felt like.

20 hours in and still loving the game. They did a really good job explaining the rich history of Baghdad. Best thing I can say about this game is how stealth is really made a thing to do. NPCs have eagle eyes and don't miss much. I killed a guard on the roof and this NPC from the street saw it and my wanted level went up. I was like damn. These strongholds in this game be guarded like Ft. Knox. Just layers upon layers of guards, spiked fences all around. I like it though because it makes you think and plan your way in. You can use allies for a price to help you or you just spend a good amount of time scouting.

Speaking of price, unlike the other AC games, money is not easy to come by. You really have to work at it, like REALLY. So that is another element you have to think about. It is so many guards if you not careful you can easily burn through all your throwing knives, etc before you even make it half way inside of a place.

10+ hours into the game and yeah, I easily prefer the action RPG AC games mainly Origins/Odyssey. I am enjoying Mirage more than Valhalla but at the same time, it's not by much. Not being able to free climb everything is probably my biggest issue because im so used to it and I believe it's what AC should be. Probably around an 8.0/10 or so. Is better than Liberation/Unity/Valhalla for me but I do prefer Syndicate more. My top 4 AC games will most likely never be surpassed with Black Flag/Origins/Odyssey/Rogue.

Very happy that im playing the game via Ubisoft+ on Xbox Series X for a nice $18 monthly rental which is better than me spending $50 on the game. Next up barring a delay will be Avatar in December.

Game beaten, took me about 25 hours. I give it a 9 out of 10. Felt so good to be back to its roots with stealth being your main weapon. Some may not care for the slow pace but I liked it. The whole planning your attack by sneaking around slowly and carefully looking for weakness was pretty cool to do. Made you feel more like a surgical assassin and not some Rambo going in guns blazing.

The storyline was good and interesting. The ending I give a 9. Easily my 3rd favorite Assassins Creed behind Brotherhood and Origins. For a game that they was originally made to be DLC, they did an understanding job.

Her being the voice actor is cool. Her voice is very indistinguishable and fits the setting well.

Probably about 35-40% through the story so far. I have enjoyed it so far. I enjoy the more linear approach as opposed to the open world rpg approach. I actually want to see more Linear style games with 12-15 hours of gameplay with more detail and atmosphere as opposed to some of these 25-40 hour open world games filled with repetitive fluff. This feels like a good step back to the original Assassin's Creed philosophy. Honestly, this felt like a series that should have stopped a long time ago. I just don't think this a type of series that should continue "forever". I think at some point they need to wrap up on the series for a while and focus on new IP

Only negative is feels like a "last gen" game. For me, its hard for me to pinpoint what dictates a next gen game. But, this feels like a game that would've been better at the very end of last generation, not in the middle of this current gen. But all in all, I like that the game went back to its roots

Every now and then I don't mind a shorter game, but there is no way I'm going to pay $60- $70 for a 12-15 hour game. Those types of games are $20 or less for me, especially if there is no sort of MP included.

I prefer the RPG AC games, so Mirage is easily a $20 game for me if I even decide to play it...I mean in all my years of playing video games, I have yet to find one that isn't repetitive...

Well, I have Gamefly for that. I'm very selective on games I choose to purchase. I don't play Online, so I'm not paying $60-70 for a game that I could beat in a couple days. And I'm not someone who replays a game until a couple years when I forgot chunks of game. Ivuy the year subscription for Gamefly. It's a little pricey, but I feel if I rent at least 5-7 games/movies in that year, it's worth it value wise. Especially since they don't have a return date. They use to hound you for you to return the game after a month, now it doesn't seem like that's the case. I had God Of War R for almost 2 months and didn't get a email to return.

I'm mainly referring to the open world games with the side missions with very little variety. Even the good open world games are filled with repetitive side missions that you only really do if you want to level up character faster. So, I don't mind a linear 12-15 hour game, I'm just not paying full price for it lol
