And I'm not someone who replays a game until a couple years when I forgot chunks of game. Ivuy the year subscription for Gamefly. It's a little pricey, but I feel if I rent at least 5-7 games/movies in that year, it's worth it value wise. Especially since they don't have a return date. They use to hound you for you to return the game after a month, now it doesn't seem like that's the case. I had God Of War R for almost 2 months and didn't get a email to return.

I'm mainly referring to the open world games with the side missions with very little variety. Even the good open world games are filled with repetitive side missions that you only really do if you want to level up character faster. So, I don't mind a linear 12-15 hour game, I'm just not paying full price for it lol
I prefer quality gaming over quantity gaming as well, mostly because I think most games are way too long and too much extra nonsense added just to occupy time

Mirage is available on Ubisoft+ for PC and Xbox for those who don't want to buy the game for $50. It's how im playing the game on Series X. Good game but out of all the AC games I have completed, it will be in the middle for me.

      Black Flag > Origins > Odyssey > Rogue > Mirage > Syndicate > Valhalla > Unity > Liberation HD.

I really wish they would have a game based upon on them expanding the brotherhood again and finding locations for bureaus and building up said bureau with the spy network in said city around the world. That would be cool. Brotherhood did it a little, but majority of that was just reading and you didn't actually see the process of it.

Another idea would be them exploring the origin of the templars with their whole ideology back story. Far as the game not feeling next gen, well that was a given considering they also released the game on last gen as well. Sure they could have added ray tracing but more than likely the frame rate would have suffered on the consoles considering majority of the game takes place outdoors. When I saw the game was made with the Intel ARC GPU in mind, I knew what time it was and knew they weren't going to go crazy with the graphics if the game was made for a mid range card in mind. Their goal were to please the masses.

Honestly very few games look next gen. As long as the storyline is good and the graphics don't look like a PS3 game, I'm okay with it. But then again, I buy 99% of my games on PC, have Ubisoft Plus, EA Pro, etc.

I'm sure we've all played games where it felt like it was dragging at times. Ideally, all parts of a campaign matter to the story. It's like thinking "Could the story be told/understood if you took out a specific section". For me, ideally there should be very few sections you could take out without being able to understand.

At this point, we're at the point of diminishing returns with visuals. Plus this is a cross gen game. So, when considering that, I'm okay with visuals.

Just finished the game. Overall I enjoyed it. It had the classic AC vibes which I liked. I didn't use the focus feature once. It felt like a last gen game that received a next gen patch moreso than a next gen game. But considering it was originally a DLC, I gave it a pass. Some of my gripes I wish were better side weapons. A bow and Arrow would've been perfect. Some of the side weapons weren't worthwhile until you fully upgraded it by end of game. Also, I wish it had the double assassination skill like it had in old games.

Part of me wants to go back and try Odyssey again. I never really gave it a try. I started it years ago and quickly gave up on it. I stopped playing Assassin's Creed after Brotherhood I think. I have it on PS Plus, so I might try it.

Odyssey is my favourite. Great combat. Much more variety than Origins. Much better loot than Valhalla which had questionable mission format.
