Should I get an Xbox?

This may sound like a stupid question, but I have a PS2 but really want an Xbox. Would it be worth it to get an Xbox with next generation consoles coming out soon or should I stick with my PS2? Also, does anyone know when the next gen consoles will be coming out? Thanks.

Depends on how much money you have and if spending about 120 is much to you. Personally I have both and use my XBOX way more but its all based on personal preference.

New xbox *should* come out by the end of this year - at least all the rumors have pointed to a 2005 release. I'd say save your money and wait for it, but that's just me.

You should get a used xbox. The xbox is the best console out right now in my opinion and there are some great games comin out this year.

Well, if you really want one, and there's games out (or soon to be out) that interest you, then pick one up. I would pick up a used one like jmood said. As for when the next-gen consoles are comming out, no dates have been confirmed, however all signs are pointing to the Xbox 2 shipping this fall. The PS3 in Japan in March '06, which would be Fall '06 in North America. Nintendo Revolution, I have no clue, but my guess would be somewhere around the PS3 launch.

Question is, do you want an XBox, which does look better than the PS2 to cover your gaming needs for the rest of the year for 120-150 or to wait and shell out most likely 400 for a new system and most likely 60-70 per game?

I have all 3 main consoles. Love my PS2 when I got it. Was so so about the XBox for the first year. Over the past 15 months I've only bought 3 PS2 games while I've bought at least over a dozen XBox games.

You'll be happy having both systems.

Once again, way to early to judge how the Next Gen market really will be, but when you've got EA saying "60-70" for games, makes me not want to rush into XBox 2 or PS3.

If you can afford it, keep the PS2 AND get an XBOX. I have both, love both, play both. It's nice to have the options.
