Re: IGN Review: God of War
Originally posted by FootballForeverHey Jistic what's up, I don't think the game is over hyped by any means, you hear a lot of people say "where did this game come from", there is still a lot of people who still haven't even heard of the game or even know what it's about. So saying over hyped may be a little false, It's getting killer reviews, but that doesn't mean it's over hyped, that just means an Awsome Sleeper game was born and is blowing everyone away. Just thought I throw my 2 cent's in......lolPSN: JISTIC_OS

I'm sorry FF, but I just can't stop laughing. Your post indicates that the game isn't overhyped, but you have a GoW avvy with the title "Game of the Year?".
Anyway, I've got my eye on it. It looks good, but these types of games tend to bore me quickly. Usually, it's more of a been there, done that, with this genre.
Make sure to drop us some impressions, I'm anxious to hear them.Comment

Re: IGN Review: God of War
I just got the game and played it for about two hours. I had to stop because my hand was starting to hurt. I really do not play a lot of these type games but this one had me interested.
Krato is one seroius dude and he can do some nasty stuff with his swords. To me there seems like there are a lot of moves in this game. His ability to rip people apart is really cool. At on point you are fighting these things called Harpies and you can do this move where you knock them down and step on their back and pull their wings off, cool stuff!!
The graphics look great and are clean looking. The music is typical for these type games but not annoying.
For the two hours that I played the controls were responsive. The one thing I do like is they put up those reminders on how to do certain moves, definately helpful.
Only one thing that I noticed sometimes is out of whack is the camera angle. There was a point in the game where you have to walk on some beams and instead of the camera being behind you, it shows you walking across the screen but you cannot judge where you are because you can fall off if you are over to one side too much. Its very minor and more often than not it puts you in the right perspective of the action!
Those are just some quick things I noticed while playing. The game can be addictive because you want to get to that next level. Also there are four difficulty levels, I am playing on normal which is one above easy. The game is hard!!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment
