Wow this sucks, the game just cant get past the first cutscene on pandoras temple, just skips and freezes. Oh well, an awesome game, but it should have been built more bug free(aloto f people from other message boards are having same issue as well) Its a shame as this would have been game of the year material oh well. I heard theres a shock ending though, and if the ending is that Kratos is actually the god of war than thats stupid(did nto hear this just my theory)

Wow, I just beat the game and let me tell you, this is the first game that I will be playing again. I just started the game again on God Mode, and it is extremely, insanely difficult. I can't beat the hydras yet, of course I haven't played but for a few minutes. The extras on the game are sweet, and the ending is just awesome. I loved the whole storyline of the game. And yeah, that minotaur battle is insane.

God mode is where it's at. My last save was getting on to Kronos the Titan's back to begin the ascent to pandora's temple on god mode.

Learning to block and evade will get you through. So far the biggest pain on god mode has been the undead guys that go underground and pop up right in front of you. I didn't know you could block that attack and you can grab them at any time. God mode is very hard but no where near impossible as I've made lots of progress when I started to block and roll more.

Ya this game is a DVD-9 so if you have a bad laser its gonna have stuttering problems and whatnot. This game and Gran Turismo 4 is the latest DVD-9 games.

Have you tried opening up your ps2 and cleaning the lens with some rubbing alcohol?

As far as the ending goes, IMHO it was one of the better endings to an adventure game out there. It was not a let down, it was not a buy the next game to find out how the story ends, and it didn't leave you with a "so that's it? I wasted my time for this?" feeling. I didn't think it was a shocking ending, but a well developed video game story revealed piece by piece that all added up to produce a well done end.

When checking out the unlocked extras though, it does leave the door open for a sequel continuing the storyline of Kratos.

I agree. The real surprise wasn't the ending, but how he got to where he did and what he had to go through to defeat Ares. The extras certainly showed me that these guys thought about prequel and sequel type stories...meaning they developed the world of Kratos with a lot of premeditation. To me, they've established a HUGE game franchise that would headline the PS3 with the likes of Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear and Gran Turismo in terms of revenue ability and popularity. I've said it before, but I feel it can have the impact that Tomb Raider had on PS1...hopefully with better sequels!

Good luck on God mode mudtiger...I bet the extra unlockables there will be mouth watering after taking on that challenge! I'll be doing the same after I get my fill of MVP approaching opening day.

Probably can find more detailed instructions somewhere, but here is a simple overview.

I dip a q-tip in rubbing alcohol and wipe the laser lens with it, then use the other side of the q-tip and wipe it dry. Whenever my sharkport disc has given me problems in the past, I've cleaned the laser and everything then works fine.
