Re: IGN Review: God of War

I already beat it on normal, this is on god mode so I'm not missing out on the story. I'll try it again in a couple of weeks, but I wasn't making any progress at all with different startegies.

It seems I just don't have the skills to get past that part on god mode unless someone has a magic secret way of beating that part?? I've tried using the hades spell, poseidon's spell, rage of gods in combination with those spells so you can use them over and over and nothing works for me. I've tried to concentrate on blocking to stay alive and the family dies. I've tried to concentrate on giving health to the family and then I die.

I've tried to stand in front of the family, I've tried to attack from a distance, I've tried to grapple the clones, I've tried to use the Artemis blade.... so as you can see, I am rather frustrated and need a break. All the other challenges in god mode felt beatable for me, but this one just feels out of my reach righ now.

I know I'm about 1 or 2 mass spawns away - about 10 total clones, but I'm not even close to surviving at that point...no magic left and the clones don't give up enough magic or health to sustain the battle.

I think my problem might be going into that part with next to no magic left. I need to save some from the 1st battle with Ares. That guy is a push over, these clones on the other hand...

Yah I can't wait until the next one. I loved how in the extra's they gave a lot of hints on the storyline and some other stuff. This series is going to totally hook me.

what a waste of an hour. I opened my ps2 up and cleaned the laser and aroun it with a napkin and rubbing alcohol. Now after i closed it up it still freezes on ythat god dman cutscne. The worst part is that i found out inside the ps2 had radiation and your not sujpposed to touich or look at the laser.

the close were rough for me on normal, I had to try it time after time...I used hades army when I could, and just kept hacking away, but sometimes I'd die or get hit off the cliff. Didn't try god mode (sold the game back with a bunch of others to get a PSP, I don't really replay games that often). Great game though, look forward to the next one.

LOL. No radiation. You can't really touch the laser because of the lens. If you touch the lens while the ps2 is on, the laser will do no damage to you. Looking at the laser while it is on though wouldn't be good for your eyes.

hahahaha my console was unplugged so its all good. I am getting to be such a worrysome kid. Yesterday I had a new mole thing on my hand and the whole day i thought it was skin cancer, then at night i ran some warm water on my hands and rubbed, and the "mole" came off.

Anybody still playing God of War on God mode? Better yet, has anyone actually beaten the game on God mode? I'm making my way through Athens again but feel like the final boss fights are going to be impossible. If someone's actually done it, or found a proven way to make it through the finale on God mode, let me know now whether it's worth it to continue!
