This makes no sense whatsoever. The XBOX has been outselling the PS2 for the past year. I'm not calling you a liar, but it makes zero business sense.

The only thing I have seen about something closely related to this is that EA's profits for the quarter were down because XBox shortages during the holiday season.

The company singled out three reasons for the the anticipated shortfall. Primarily, it said, it underestimated the effects of the Holiday 2004 video game hardware shortage. (Retailers were regularly out of stock of Xbox and PlayStation 2 machines, as Microsoft and Sony were unable to keep up with demand.)
