    Timesplitters 3: Future Perfect

Are any of you guys playing this at all?

I like 2 fairly well, but thought it was still a work in progress.

3 feels really good/tight on the controls. The movment and feel of the FPS action is different, but for the good. Feels like you're playing most any FPS now. They've got 150 crazy charcaters, 14 modes of play in the MP, a ton of challenges, and a bunch of new cheats - that aren't really cheats, but like "fat chacaters" "slow-mo deaths" "cardboard characters" They did a good job. I've played 3 levels of the singleplayer and it's better than the first 2 games.

BTW, lots of nice blood splats.

Just wondering if anyone else got this.

I was interested in it at one point, but it just lost it for me. I don't know, just too many things coming out at one time and this got lost in the shuffle for me, basically because of the less than steallar reviews it got from the mags and sites. Not saying bad reviews, but not great either. I would have been interested for online play only basically, but it's been out a few days now and out of the 71 buddies on my buddy list on Live, not a single person has been on it yet.

I got it, and am thoroughly impressed by it. I haven't been really impressed by a FPS on a console since the original Goldeneye, hell I was even one of the few that wasn't particularly impressed by either Halos, but I'm really digging the controls and movement for this thing. The Co-op campaign mode is a blast.

It gets two big thumbs up from me.

Traditionally in TS, the single-player mode plays well, but can be completed in short order. I don't have Future Perfect yet so I can't comment on this iteration, though.

While I'm here, for those who have the game, how is the map editor? Have they added anything to it and made it so you can make bigger levels?

The single player mode isnt' to bad. It's short, but at least it feels different playing the Story mode verses the Arcade mode... But this arcade mode is just as fun as it was last year. In my opinion they have some decent levels... only a couple that are blah.

The map editor is the same, but yet different. Being able to have an open roof is nice... some of the stairs are now stackable. You can have some open areas that are say 3 levels deep of open space. It's pretty cool.

It's got the "been there" feeling too it, but it's changed. The controls are tighter and the graphics do look a bit better. The movement in the game feels more like all the other FPS out, which is good.

I'm having a ton of fun with the game. If you guys liked any of the other timesplitters games or thought "this game is close to being great" I personally feel that they accomplished their goal with this game.. that's my opinion.
