I wouldn't trade your Xbox in in the first place, but if must then go with a slim Ps2. Gamecube is a waste of 100$.

I second that. GC is a waste of money.

GC is great if you only want to play the few great games on GC. the GC is defintely the cheapest way to game.

You still have a PS2? Does it work?

If you have a working PS2, get the GC.

Yeah, and trading in a PS2 you can get fixed for free for the same exact system that will have the same errors down the road isn't.

If you have a working PS2, and feel that you must trade your Xbox, I'd go w/ the Cube.

                  Re: Slim Ps2 or Gamecube?

i guess the main reason why i am leaning toward trading the xbox for the gamecube is because i can get the exact same sports games that are on the xbox for the ps2 with the same graphical quality because of the monster s-cable (an UNBELIEVABLE picture quality)! of course, load times are a little bit longer and i have to use memory cards, BUT i games like wind waker, resident evil 4, and the next zelda look tempting!!! the only reason why i kept the xbox around was because of top spin tennis and that was not as good as advertised! smash court tennis, the new one is amazing on the ps2...anyways, keep coming with your opinions, i like to hear from fellow gamers on this subject without the fan boy nonsense!

I agree with Fossen and JD... Get the GC if your PS2 is still in working condition. The Slim PS2 serves the same purpose as the old one.

Although RE4 is worth the price alone, it comes down to your own preferences. Did you play the heck out of N64? Then a lof of GC titles may seem like deja vu...if you didn't I see it as a definte must-have for any genuine gamer.

it's not like xbox is in any stride itself...jade empire is pretty much the only exclusive title worth paying $50 for this year, and it's April. MS has cut off development for it in favor of the new one.

Conker, Unreal Champ 2, Half-Life 2 (console exclusive) and Forza look pretty darn good as well. If the guy really wants a Cube, save up for it. Selling consoles isn't too bright at all. A Gamecube is what? Under $100 CDN.

The only worthwhile title left to come out on Cube is Zelda, that's it.
If you really want RE4, it's coming out for the PS2 later this year.

I own a Slim PS2, it's basically the exact same thing as the original models, minus HDD functions, and the fact is gets pretty warm after long sessions. Not to mention those cables don't give you the same graphical quality as Xbox games, you're only fooling yourself there, or trying to convince yourself and justify you're potential deal. Just get your original PS2 fixed for free, keep the XBox, and save up for a Cube if you really want one.

Oh well, it's your call, your money.

Did you just say that the PS2 and XBOX graphics are the same? Could you tell me what mental/eye problem you have? Thanks.
