    Spikeout for XBox... quick impressioins.

Im not sure if anyone here has payed much attention to this game coming our of if anyone has talked about it much...

It's a nice 3D version of 2D side scroolling beat'em ups... like streets of rage, double dragon, and final fight.

I really feel this game was made for us kids that are now in our 20s-30s that loved those style games. No continues in the story mode. You can play the missions with continues in the battle arena mode and still unlock characters.

There's a lot more moves and combos than those old school games.

You can play co-op 1-4 offline and online. Even system link.
When you play on the same system it actually does split screen so you can roam off away from your partner.

It's not a crappy game by any means. I'd give it a 7-8 for those of you guys that enojoy those older style games. For anyone that's not played those above games in the past, then you won't like spikeout.

As for gamespot (or IGN) making the comment about "why did anyone like streets of rage?" You can see why their reviews are low for this game.

It's 29.99 and kind of hard to find.

Since the Pro Reviews dogged it, Sega didn't send to many out... and since someone started a rumor that the game is in limited quantities, they are going on EBay for more than 29.99. Yet, EB has been told they'll have more copies in stores by the 14th.

Seems EB and Gamestop are the only 2 places getting it in.

But I wanted to tell you guys that are fans of those old school beat'em up games that this is out, fairly cheap, and fun just like it used to be.

Sega only made 3500 copies, don't expect to see it in stores again, some Ebay auctions are going for over $100.

...Unless sega has made an offical statement...
I'm not willing to believe the game will only have 3600 copies.

Some are saying that EB sent out an email to their stores saying they'd get more in on the 14th of april.

            Some good news

More copies are on the way.

I liked those old games and I liked the Bouncer on PS2 but no continues in story mode doesn't make it sound too good.
