I Got Rid of my XBox...what do I do about my Live Account?

I got rid of my Xbox last week, despite having paid for a live account into early August. I know that Microsoft has my credit card on file, and I'm pretty sure they auto-renew subscribers. How do I cancel before this happens? All I know is my gamertag......I don't remember having an account number, or account password, etc. Also, does Microsoft give you a prorated refund for the time on your account you did not use? Thanks for any replies.
I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!

    Just call 1-800-4MY-XBOX to cancel.

I doubt you can get a prorated refund, but you can cancel further billing.

Thanks, for some reason I was having trouble finding the number, I knew it would be faster to just ask here. Sucks about the refund though.

Just curious why you got rid of your Xbox.

I just don't have time for gaming anymore, so I got rid of my consoles. Between work, school, and going out, I much rather do other things with my time.

Wow, having a kid, work etc I dont have as much time either..but I could never ever get rid of every system, I just enjoy games to much even if I dont have the time like I used to.

UNless your just backing off until the new systems come out?

I don't have the time like I used to either but I will always have a console around. For me games are a great stress reliever. Just sick back and kill a few guys and get rid of some of life's frustrations and headaches.

Re: I Got Rid of my XBox...what do I do about my Live Account?

I still enjoy gaming too, don't get me wrong. In fact, when I was a Best Buy last night picking up some things, I got on the XBox Demo unit to play about 15 minutes of NBA Street Vol. 3. However, I had all these games and systems sitting around, unplayed. I figure it would be good to unload them now, while they still have value. For example, if I could get $35 for the HALO 2 I only played twice now vs. keeping it and playing it another 2 times over the next 6 months, I'd rather sell. Also, I like going out and socializing more than sitting home and being idle. If my day ends at 9pm and I could go out with friends or a girl v. staying home and setting up my Dynasty in NBA 2K5, I was/am picking the former. Similarly, if I had a Saturday off, I would rather go hiking/mountain biking all day or play pickup ball rather than playing a minor league game in MVP.

Gaming is still a pleasure, but the amount ratio of money v. time used is just not there for me anymore. I'm pretty sure I'll get a new console next generation(It would be hard not to, I've always had one NES-Genesis-Playstation-Dreamcast-PS2-XBox/Gamecube) but it's not the absolute certainty it used to be.
