Official I Want A PSP Thread
Anybody here dont have it yet but wants it? I really want it but i dont know if the $250 price tag is worth it. I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about it however.Tags: None -
Re: Official I Want A PSP Thread
Meh, it would be cool to have but the $250 price tag isn't worth it for me. I rarely play portable games and if I do want to "game-on-the-go", my gameboy provides that service.
Maybe in the next few years when the price goes down....

Same here, if money wasn't an issue I would own one. But at $250 I just wouldn't get enough use out of it to justify the price tag. Seems like an all around cool system though, the movies, pictures and music are all pretty nice extras to go along with the (apparently) good gameplay. I doubt I will pick one up anytime soon, but it would be a cool toy to have.Originally posted by CharlieBrownMeh, it would be cool to have but the $250 price tag isn't worth it for me. Re: Official I Want A PSP Thread
As someone who owns one, let me just say that I didn't think it would be worth it either. I don't really play games anymore, but just wanted one cause it of all the extra features. Well, I've had one since the day after launch (about 2 weeks or so now), and I think that it was worth every penny. I haven't even messed around with the other features yet. I've just been playing games. The graphics and play alone are what grab me. It's a console in your hand. And if you think that Gameboy (DS or SP) are up to par, it's not. I've pretty much played with it every day now, and it's great for when you just have some time to kill.
I'm not trying to sell this thing or anything, just wanted to let you know how I felt about it. I think it's worth it.Comment

Yeah man. That price tag is steep. But if you ever get around to affording one of these babies, get one. I got one, and am not looking back with regret. Its just a nice thing to have. Also remember after you get it you'll going to have put more money into it to get the full usage out of it. So yes, if your budget is tight, you may want to chill for now.Originally posted by Metal NinjaAnybody here dont have it yet but wants it? Re: Official I Want A PSP Thread
plan on trying to locate one this weekend.
been looking at ebay but they're selling for more than what they are in the stores. Lot of nuts out there paying $220 plus $30 shipping domestically. No way it cost that much to ship the thing. I know I try to charge enough to cover paypal and ebay fees but $25-$40 shipping is ridiculous. I'm sure it won't be hard to find here in Dallas."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Doesn't that still come out to $250, which is the price of the PSP anyways? It doesn't look like you're overpaying? Am I missing something?Originally posted by SoMiss2000plan on trying to locate one this weekend.

Re: Official I Want A PSP Thread
Doh! it does, I gues should have used another number that i'm seeing people pay. I've also seen upwards of $250-$300, and this is just for the unit and Spiderman. The previous example does equal $250, however, I'm not paying $30 shipping when I know it doesn't cost that much to ship. I'd rather pay the $250 that i'll probably do and have the instant gratification and coming home and firing it up instead of having to wait for someone to ship it. The price that ebayers are charging for shipping is what's keeping me from trying to buy one from there.Originally posted by ShaKobeDoesn't that still come out to $250, which is the price of the PSP anyways? They look really cool, but for 250 dollars, I just don't think It's worth it for me. I have never been a really big handheld gamer, I usually just listen to music and sleep when I'm on long trips. Hell, I haven't touched my Game Boy Advance in like 6 months
.
I just think I wouldn't use it enough to warrant the 250$ price tag.Clemson Tigers

I'm with ShaKobe on this one...I've messed around with video to try it out, but have been playing games 99% of the time, i use it a whole lot more than I expectedOriginally posted by ShaKobeAs someone who owns one, let me just say that I didn't think it would be worth it either.
