It's been a little while since this came out, but does anyone have it? How does it stack up to the other SimCity games?

Same here, i loved simcity 2000 but I really want to try out the new version. The only thing keeping me back is the so called reported bugs in the newest game so I'm hoping those are all fixed or at least close to being fixed.

I have it...I can't give an in-depth review I can only give you this. I really like this game. Its is fun, has tons of replayability, you can link your cities together, and go on driving missions where you go around the city looking for ways to get money or mayor approval. You can even drive airplanes/boats/tanks.

I almost never play it anymore because of one thing. Traffic. It seems that no matter where people are in the town they always complain about how far away their job is. Sure I've built a few successful cities but they only got so big because all these darn people move out when they are in easy driving distance of work.

If you can get past the traffic, its a good game. If you know how to solve the seemingly traffic "bug" let me know.

If you have more questions about the game I'll try to answer them.

Does the game have bugs? I read on Ebgames.com people saying that it constantly just dropped back to desktop. Has it been patched?

The older games always had traffic issues as well, that's interesting. I used to always use the railways everywhere with no roads(it worked back then!) because anytime I tried roads it led to traffic and pollution.

The thing is, traffic is a problem in any big city in real life. Does the traffic "bug" cripple your chances of building into a huge city?

Wow, the only SimCity game I had, I could not get cars out on the road for the life of me. I bought the game when I was in middle school, so its been 4 or 5 years. I remember like going to the computer lab in elementary school and playing SimTown.

I remember all of those really dumb game they put out on the success of SimCity. SimTown, SimFarm, SimIsland, there were a ton. I guess they were just bored until they started making The Sims games.

With the Rush Hour expansion it seemed like the fixed most of the bugs. You can get lots of patches and things as well. www.simtropolis.com is a good resource for this game

Well I have the rush hour expansion pack with it and I have not experienced that problem once.

Bump.

I bought the game yesterday with my new computer. It seems like everytime I play the game, after about 15 minutes of playing the game drops and a screen comes up that says "Power enabling shutdown in several seconds." Is this a bug with the game or what?

Did you buy it with the rush hour expansion pack?

I have personally never seen that happen to me. Do you have any other games? If so does it happen during them to?
