    Re: Headphones for Gaming

I looked and looked and looked for some good headphones for gaming and music and I finally decided on the Sennheiser HD280 Pro. They were $99 at
guitar center and they are worth every penny. The bass in these headphones is outstanding.

I use them for the psp(at home), computer, xbox and ps2. They are the big headphones but that is okay because it does block out the outside noise.

I love them and would recommend them to anybody if you have that kind of cash.

Hah! You gotta be kidding me!! I use the same ones for work! (Radio station) They really are outstanding headphones, can't beat the sound at that price. Sennheiser makes some quality stuff, that's for sure.

          Re: Headphones for Gaming

I'm looking for headphones that I will use for pretty much anything: gaming, movies, music, real-time recording, etc. I still have yet to get a graduation or birthday present, so I'm looking for a pair I can use around the house so I'm not always blasting the roof with my HT system.

After some research, this seems to be an approved standard:

          http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...CHRCE6KD78MFA6

Can anyone else find a reason to not go with this pair? Does anyone know a store that might have this so I can try them on for myself and test them out?

          Thanks.

EDIT: I just did a search for threads related to headphones so I posted in this one, but unfortunately it seems this is in the non-sports gaming section. I could create another one in the E&T sub-forum, or we can maybe move it over there?

I have the Turtle Beach PX5 wireless headphones and love them. The only thing they don't do is DTS sound, so I have to disable that in the PS3 settings if I want to use them. I use them for gaming, movies, and TV.

Hmm, well I'd like to have DTS if it's available, so I might need to check the specs on the link I provided as well.

Wireless would be preferable obviously, as long as the sound quality doesn't deter too much and the price doesn't skyrocket.

I'm a big fan of the PX5 for gaming...they've been great to me, and it's nice if it's later at night to have good sound but not wake people up.
