    X-Box Problem

I am having problems with my X box that is about 15 months old. I'll be playing a game and it will be working just fine. Then, the screen will begin to scramble until it is unplayable. I had the same problem last year, 2 months after I bought it. I never know when it's going to happen, either. I sent it to MS and I believe that they gave me a new samsung drive. The problem is back and I don't know if I want to send it to MS again. The fix was free before, but now it would cost $80. Plus with the new Xbox right around the corner, I'm not sure if I want to just buy a new one. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix the issue? Thanks. BTW, it's not the power cord issue. I recently received my new one from MS.

I would have to look at it to determine the exact problem but my guess is a simple internal cleaning will do the trick.

It has something to do with the graphics processor, which is located underneath the DVD drive. MS probably gave it a quick dust up when they replaced the drive for you which is why you haven't had the problem for a while. It has since accumulated the dust it had before and is problem the center of your problem.

If you want a tutorial on how to open and peruse the inside of your Xbox check out the tutorials section at www.Xbox-Scene.com.
