Does anyone know when companies like EBX or Gamestop will start taking pre-orders on systems?

Note: EB and Gamestop will be merging.

2nd, right now I think you can call the stores and some are and some aren't.

I wouldn't worry about it. EB online isn't taking pre-orders yet. Once they do, and their stores do, there will be an opportunity to preorder.

Brick and morter EB's are taking pre-orders starting today, $20 down. They can only do 300,000 as a company I guess, my buddy read the email to me. Once they are reserved, they are gone.

One other thing, not that this means anything at all, but the EBGames computer has the XBox 360 at $499.99.

I just called my local EB. They informed me that they haven't received a SKU yet but he expects one today.

My Xbox 360 is reserved, #2 on EB's list, they can only reserve 6 per store right now, until they know exact info. Either way, I'm guaranteed launch day. Woo hoo! Guy behind me in line reserved his as well.

$20 to reserve, their systems have it for $499.99, but that's not definite.

You should have no problem, I have 3 EB's near me. But my buddy is the manager, so if they got 5 reserves, he was going to just pay for the 6th out of his pocket for me.

And for they had the PSP at 499.99 for launch as well, until more details come in, I think it's the default for systems or something.

I'm pre-ordering mine tomorrow at a Game Rush (Blockbuster's game store) or EB. The Game Rush near me gets customers, but nowhere near a lot--even on weekends. I'm hoping to be in the top 10 for that particular store.

Pre-orders no longer $20 through EB. They got a call from the corporate office and now it's $50 down. Sorry youngins!
