I doubt you'll see MS make the same supply and demand error that Sony did previously.
I saw the figure you are going off of but by doing simple math at the mentioned 12 per store for both GS and EB, that does not even come out to 100,000. Even though the merger is not done, after it is finalized, the new look Gamestop will have the same buying power from Sony and Microsoft that
Wal-Mart now enjoys. The numbers do not add up to a high launch quantity. And I go back to my original statement that things could change between now and then but the initial numbers given to GS and EB were low, extremely low.

Thanks Steve! You're still the best!

With regards to the controllers: is anyone disappointed that a built-in track ball didn't make it to final design? I was hoping there would be one for target shooting games and all of the classic arcade games of the 1980's like Millipede and Missle Command. I also thought there should be a rotating 360° dial controller (Paddle Controllers for all you Classic Gamers out there.) on this too. One more thing: what happened to the black and white buttons?

does anyone have any idea as to how much the 360 is going to cost? I already put my down payment at the local gamestop, but i'm overseas and don't have easy access to information about the price of the unit.

Can we play old XBOX games on the 360? I didn't see it anywhere in the fact sheet....but I am not all that bright and could easily have missed it.

Microsoft says that their goal is to make all XBOX games run on the 360. However, they have only guarateed that the most popular ones will work.
